Wow, looking at these pictures I cannot believe so much has changed in so little time (most of New Utrecht is Hasidic now) :ohno:

Oh, Boro Park has been 100% Hasidic for a while now. But it just can't fit all of them. The border seems to have shifted even more, up to 65th St now. Trust me, I live in the area and am planning to move soon lol!

They create a natural ghetto over time (quickly). Every store caters to them, and the ones that don't close down since non-Hasidics move out. Non-Hasidics move out because Hasidics only buy houses next to each other, so they knock on your door every month and ask if your house is for sale (until you call the police) because the answer is NO! If you have kids, you need to take them to a park in another neighborhood because Hasidic kids WILL NOT play with "goys" (non Jews?) After a while (quickly) you are the only non-Hasidic left on your street because everyone else moves to the suburbs. The ghetto of Boro Park, for example, has grown so large so quickly that it is eating up all neighborhoods around it (Bensonhurst, New Utrecht, Dyker Heights). It's quite amazing/scary to watch, but thank God I left already.

I didn't even know about their antisocial behavior. Of course that's obvious this kind of extremely religious society always tries to form compact and closed circle in their neighborhood, but that's absolutely incomprehenisble if, for example, their kids won't play with your kids only because you and your children don't belong to their community... And now I understand why you decided to move...
