Normally it's not really worth mentioning a tower only 348ft/106m tall in a city like New York. This is a very special design and worth sharing IMO :)

i really like this one, though i think the tallest part could have been made even taller, to make it look sorta like an individual skyscraper, with steps attached to it.

that way itd have a bigger impact on the skyline.

^^Probably not a clear view, but if you got an apartment on the 10th floor or so you will be able to look to the Hudson river (and even New Jersey). Right?

I think it's in the block where the Ford manhattan service is too. You know what I mean? You can also see on the renders that the lower part is pointing towards the river first so that means that the lower part of the higher part (sounds confusing) other said the tower doesn't seem to have a view at all. The top part might have a few of the hudson river but it all depends on the buildings in front of it. Also the stair structure ruins the view for quite a lot of apartments.

xlchris

I understand. Not all apartments will have that view. Still, some of them will get a nice view :) At least the area is going to get better looking with this.

This area presently is an industrial dump. 11th Avenue is lined with auto dealers that operate out of filthy, broken down warehouses. However, as the far west side between 23rd Street and 59th Street is gentrifying now, this area will emerge as quite beautiful. On the adjacent avenues (9th and 10th), there are scores of beautiful old structures.

Yeah Hells Kitchen south + north Chelsea are totally shitty places. The Daily Show is filmed right on the corner of that park...a stones throw from the Hustler club and a few blocks from a nasty area full of exit/entrance ramps for tunnels and imposing municipal buildings like an open air train depot, a giant mail vehicle repair depot and a water treatment plant on the Hudson.

The whole Hudson yards project, if built, should revitalize (gentrify) the entire area. The only plus of Hells Kitchen is the awesome views of midtown you get while running along the river parkway imo.

Rental Tower Clinton Park Still Rising Over Hell's Kitchen

http://ny.curbed.com/uploads/clintonpark1_7_10.jpg

July 7, 2010, by Sara

Last we checked on Hell's Kitchen's forthcoming Clinton Park project from starchitect Enrique Norten and the Walentas team, construction was off to a slow start. But no longer! A tipster sends in the above construction shot, taken from Eleventh Avenue and 53rd Street, of the luxury rental ziggurat with future Mercedes Benz emporium and NYPD horse stable below.

Our tipster writes, "After a year of horizontal growth, they are aggressively rising vertically, adding four floors in about a month—a fast clip for a project in this uncertain economy." Trying to make up for lost time?

yeah, considering there was a rumor that construction has stopped with the 3rd floor, it really is! as one can clearly see they are above the 3rd floor, so i'm positive this building will be built to its full height!

What is interesting is that years ago the "Hell's Kitchen" neighborhood was one of the last rough neighborhoods in Manhattan. I remember way back, in the early 1980's - it was the place you could buy drugs ("crack" cocaine was popular then) and pick up a prostitute. As AIDS became more of a problem and Guiliani was took a hard line on crime the neighborhood started to change by the late '80's early '90's. Now it's an expensive place to live!

One blockbuster facade reveal deserves another, so hot on the heels of The Nolitan's big unveiling, a tipster alerts us to the happenings up at architect Enrique Norten's massive Clinton Park rental building for developer Two Trees: "Here are pics of the Clinton Park facade going up on 11th Ave on the the 54th Street side. It's interesting and matches the rendering, I think. Very industrial. Any new information on the huge health club they have going in there?" Sorry, we've been too obsessed with the Mercedes mansion in the building to glean any other info. We're liking the looks of things so far. Agree?

I hate the buildings that go up in dubai, but this one is nice because it has the curves of a very modern buildings, but it's still conservative enough to go along well in NYC!
