Let's try this again - the right way!

Midland, Texas

Population: 95,000 - 26th largest city in Texas
Size: 65 sq. mi.
Location: Midway between Dallas and El Paso on Interstate 20

Here are a few pictures I took of Midland, plus a few from the web. Keep in mind that this city has less than 100,000 residents.

This is probably the BEST skyline in West Texas, and for that I give it a 7/10. Oil really built this town as you can tell.

Seems very outdated and desolate.

Average. I agree that it seems outdated... it looks frozen in the 70's. 5.

I think you guys should take into some consideration it's neighbors, too. Like I said, of the West Texas cities it is the best one. I couldn't rank it any lower than Lubbock or Amarillo or even El Paso.

impressive for a city that's kind of out in thw middle of nowhere. a skyline like that would be worthy of a metro area at around half a million. not good enough to compare to larger mid-sized cities like little rock, ar, or syracuse, ny, but it gives the look that midland is a fairly important city.

At one time, 3 500-foot skyscrapers were planned for Midland......right before the bust in 1982.
