thekh December 3rd, 2009, 01:51 AM Bayon is the first temple ever built as the shape of human faces.
There are 54 towers and it was Built in the late 12th century or early 13th century. Also, it the largest temple in Angkor Thom.

However, this temple was built in the 12th to 13th Centuries AD; so this thread doesn't belong in the "Ancient Times" sub-forum.
The Bayon temple belongs in the "Middle Ages" sub-forum.
Moderator, please could you move this beautiful thread to the correct sub-forum?
