Wu-Gambino April 27th, 2004, 12:19 AM 7/10
Nice suprise, the tallest looks cool.
Orfeo April 27th, 2004, 01:47 AM 7/10
Quite nice for its size.
Imperfect Ending April 27th, 2004, 08:46 AM any picture to show the skyline as a whole?
SoboleuS April 27th, 2004, 12:03 PM Nice buildings but skyline is very scattered ;) 6/10
skylover April 27th, 2004, 02:18 PM The skyscrapers are good but the skyline isn't.
6/10
Fragem2001 April 29th, 2004, 08:55 PM This is still a very developing cities the 2 tall buildings were built within the last 10 years
http://bobbehorton.com/pictures/Bridge.jpg
http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/newsimages/2004/4520879_3.jpg
Notice the second building looks smaller in the second picture but is actually larger. This is a very developing city its hard to find the whole skyline in a picture.
Ptit ben April 30th, 2004, 02:06 AM if you want more pics of it just look under at my thread about it ...
Brasil Guy April 30th, 2004, 04:27 PM too smal for its size, 4.5/10
Future Architect May 3rd, 2004, 01:53 AM GR has some nice skyscrapers, but they are all lined up along the river. It would look much better if they were clustered closer together. Hopefully some of the newer projects will add density downtown. They are supposed to build two new apartment towers, and there is a hotel proposal that I haven't heard anything about in a LONG time.
SebaVeron04 May 3rd, 2004, 10:17 AM Some nice really intersting designs there :)
Iggmasta May 4th, 2004, 07:18 PM it will be nice when it's done developing
Nick in Atlanta May 15th, 2004, 08:25 PM According to the MSA statistics, Grand Rapids-Wyoming, Michigan's population is 757,848, as of 2002.

SeeMacau May 17th, 2004, 03:28 AM Interesting design with some scrapers !! Nice skyline indeed
8.5/10
Schroedinger's Cat May 17th, 2004, 03:22 PM 5.5/10
shivtim May 18th, 2004, 11:34 PM I love how US-131 does a giant S-curve right next to downtown, its got great views of the city. The river at night is really beautiful too, with all of the arch bridges lit up. Next time I'm up there I'll take some pics.
JRQ May 19th, 2004, 12:59 AM Its tallest building is the same height as Roanokes tallest. their population is only 97,000 (metro-220,000)
7.0 Hopefully more tall buildings in future. Not THAT bad...
jtown, man June 2nd, 2004, 08:05 PM I like it. Its not big. But I dont care. I love the two tallest! 7.5
TYW June 3rd, 2004, 05:53 PM buildings have great design. skyline quite interesting eventhough not that tall
6/10
mauiboy63sea July 16th, 2004, 06:45 AM Metrogrkid's history is much appreciated. I look forward to seeing more pics over the years as the metro area continues to develop. The population growth will be astounding. I hope city officials will enhance it's infrastructure to sustain rapid growth while maintaining a good quality of life. Due to the lack of buildings and an underdeveloped skyline, I gave GR a 4.
vid October 15th, 2004, 04:49 AM For a moment I thought this was Grand Rapids MN
They have a nice skyline!
LouisvilleJake January 5th, 2005, 02:24 AM 4/10. There is something not right about Grand Rapids, Michiland
DamienK January 18th, 2005, 10:41 PM 6.5/10
MattSal June 2nd, 2005, 07:28 PM Mediocre at best. I give it a 6/10.
hauntedheadnc June 4th, 2005, 11:07 PM I never rated this city before because I could never see the pictures. All I ever got were red x's. Now, however, I see a nice city skyline that's pleasingly modern, doesn't overwhelm, and towers modestly above a beautifully dense downtown. The buildings seem to fit together. 7.5
B@dGuYoM June 4th, 2005, 11:27 PM 6/10
LouisvilleCheerBoi June 6th, 2005, 01:35 AM sorry, does that count as a skyline? 4/10

Though all the images here do not portray the entire skyline at once, it is a nice enough representation of GR.

In stark contrast to Detroit, its big sister to the east, Grand Rapids is dense and vibrant. Buildings are occupied, construction cranes soar, and streets bustle:

bneidlinger December 5th, 2007, 02:38 AM 9/10 and will soon have a new 406 foot tower to add to these skyline shots (is already about halfway complete).
