Hi there,

I was wondering if you have considered adding the tapatalk plugin (http://www.tapatalk.com/plugin/) to this wonderful forum which would allow native access to it from mobile devices like the iPhone/Android/Nokia etc

For me, and i am sure many others, this would be a huge advantage in keeping up to date with more threads on the go, and i think it allows us to upload images straight from devices too!

I really hope you can add this...

Thanks for your time :)

(here is another link to the official vbulletin mods page (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=208412) for it)

I like the idea of smart- and iPhone applications, but that's an option after we've upgraded from vB 3 to 4, plus I don't want any 3rd parties in between that. We'll see what other options there are after we've upgraded somewhere around spring of next year.

Yeah, this would be great. My cap gets used up quite easily so I revert to my mobile browser, but SSC takes extremely long to load and uses a lot of money..

this is installed now. We'll see how it goes.

Cool!!! I just got it. Works pretty well.

Only the initial loading can be a bit erratic.

After that it works a treat. My first impression is that navigating between pages and having small images you can amplify work brilliantly.

Yeah, the initial load takes forever because there's like 600 forums or something insane here, and it loads them all at once. Once that's done though, it works well.

correction, 2000 forums. I'm not sure if we're going to keep this.

Test post from iPod.

This is fun stuff if it wasn't for the very long initial load. I hope they can fix that.

someone please test this on something other than an ipod or iphone and let me know what the load time is like.

I tested the Lite version on an iPhone too. It works good, but is really slow the first time you use it.
For iPhone devices there is also TouchBB (http://www.messageforums.net/iphoneforumreader.php). The Lite version is better than Tapatalk's one. I don't know how it works, may be you should give it a try to see if it doesn't load ALL subforums at once.

Tested on iphone 3gs, slow the very first times, it gets better the more you use it. Sometimes it shows you unread messages, but when you enter the thread, is not updated...
One error: the image upload doesen't work (ask to your admin :))

Are you keeping the taptalk app or is it still on test. I know its only £1.79 from the app store but I dont browse any other forums so I would only purchase for viewing skyscrapercity forum.

you do not need to purchase it to read. only to post. There's a free version for reading.
