Even though Morocco is part of Africa, I think it would be more consistent if Morocco were to be present among other middle-eastern countries for 2 main raisons:
1-This forum is about architecture (mainly); Morocco is part of the "Eastern civilization" and thus shares many cultural things (among which the architectural heritage) with other ME countries. He shares things as well as with Western Africa, but the links have more to do with history and religion
2- It is obvious for Morocco to be presented among countries with a similar level of development

Africa is where we're located geographically so there's no reason to alter that. We could always visit other sections.

The examples you are giving do not apply here. Spain has its own forum whereas Haiti dont even have a section. Morocco is alomost 250K posts, with many many sections within it. It is too big to be part of a forum (be it continental or cultural -Forum francophone has french but also Quebec sections-). Don"t forget that one should give his own opinion even if it does no suit yours. The arguments I gave should not be considered categorically; their purpose is to sustain MY opinion.

In spite of all the religious and cultural links with the middle-east, morocco is physically in africa and therefore should remain/be part of it

Je suis pas sur que tout le monde saisisse ce que MENA veut dire.... Middle east & north Africa! donc il n'y a pas de souci concernant la localisation géographique, north africa est meme plus précise que Africa tout court, si on ajoute a cela les liens religieux culturels linguistiquee, sans oublier l'homogénéité et la complémentarité économique, le choix est plutôt facile... c'est pas parce qu'on est dans MENA que l'on est racistes ou que l'on renie notre encrage africain c'est simplement que MENA est une région qui correspond plus a notre pays car ayant vécu sur les deux rives de la méditerranée il y a plus de différences entre le maroc et le senegal qu'entre le maroc est la france et cela a tout les niveaux... sinon il faudrait simplement supprimer la section MENA et transférer tout le monde en asie et afrique...

I don't think African forumers are interested in Moroccan forums nor Moroccans in African forums! while in MENA there is some shared interest and culture.

Ni l'un ni l'autre je trouves qu'on a pas grand chose en commun avec l'Afrique subsaharienne et encore moins avec le middle east!

Plutot pour une localisation Maghrebine uniquement, car c'est avec l'Algérie, la Tunisie, la Mauritanie qu'on a des points communs, cad des pays Arabo Amazigh!

C'est une bonne idee adamelstar...une section pour le Maghreb...

Sinon je suis plutot pour la delocalisation du forum vers la page ssc initiale...
