They're up to about the 13th floor now if anyone has any recent pics. I'll try to get out there sometime to grab some... I'm really digging this project.

What do you guys think about the combination of historic and modern elements and materials?

At street level from the front it blends really well with the style of the former tram station beside it. From down the street the base is barely visible but the glass upper floors do fit in well overall. I quite like it.

Yeah I was just noticing how this has improved the new west skyline despite being a fairly small building. It's far better than the azure place threesome, futher inland.

New Westminster's skyline is kind of lacking for beeing part of the GVR isnt it?

I think my comment "dishonest pomo shit" was perfectly constructive (and valid) and should not have been deleted. And even if they were to go the fake-heritage route, they should have scaled up the historic facade... right now it looks miniaturized, like in disneyworld. And the stepping... is there a more intelligence-insulting way of relating a 19-storey condo to a 2 storey neighbour?
