Since I got caught in a ridiculous speed trap in which on the Bellair Causeway they put the speed limit sign after the top of the bridge I've been wanting to find out where the speed traps are and spread the word. Lately I've seen more cops on the road than ever and have been told the state is pressuring the cops to write more tickets, in the end they are going after our money and I don't think that is right. So here is a topic to post known speed traps.

The Pinellas Bayway trap is the worst. Its usually set up around the end of the month. The frequently use a city main. truck as cover for the radar/laser guy and then have 5-8 cars hidden. They usually bag huge groups of people between 3:30pm and 6pm. Its quite the money maker for the city.

Tampa PD likes to put the motorcycle guys out on Bayshore during mid-day during the week as well.

Watch out going through all of downtown in the mornings.

Vets Exwy around the airport is another neat speed trap
