After a decent period of intensive preparation, with the support of Danang people’s Committee and other relevant departments, on 25 July 2009, Vien Dong Land JSC solemnly held the groundbreaking ceremony of Vien Dong Meridian Towers Building at 84 Hung Vuong – Hai Chau District – Danang City.



The investor of this project is Vien Dong Land, with the capital contributions of Vien Dong Investment Consultancy & Technology Transfer JSC (Vien Dong Corp.), Trung Nam Construction Investment JSC (Trung Nam Group) and Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corp (Saigon Tel).

Vien Dong Building will have 48 floors and 3 basement floors with the height of 220m, expcted to become the highest building in the Central once accomplished and put into operations. Its multi-purpose facilities include a deluxe commercial center, an international convention center, luxury hotels, top-notch apartments and Grade A offices. The total investment of this project reaches up to $180 million.

The major sponsors highly regarded the distinguished characteristics of this site. Danang is a potential city in investment and development. However, available locations at the commercial district are quite rare. Therefore, the excellent location of this building is a noticeable advantage against other real estate investment projects being implemented in Danang.

Presently, Danang is attracting scores of investment projects, mostly tourism and resort service projects. The billions-dollar projects among which have become the bull’s eye of the local investment landscape and they are expected to serve as the economic springboard for the Central region.

KBC to endorse Strategic cooperation agreement with Kumho

This afternoon 21 Oct, at the National Convention Center, within the framework of Vietnam-Korea Economic Forum 2009, Kinh Bac City Development Share-holding Corporation (KBC) signed the Strategic cooperation agreement with Kumho Industrial Co. Ltd – Korea (Kumho) on the aspiration to cooperate in the real estate development projects of both sides.



Addressing the Ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong – Deputy CEO of KBC represented her corporation to sign the Strategic cooperation agreement with Kumho in the witness of the high-ranking leaders of Vietnam and Korea.

According to the Strategic cooperation agreement, KBC agrees to grant priority consideration to Kumho in selecting a general contractor for KBC projects, including a complex building at 1A Lang Ha, Hanoi and a complex development of five star hotel, residential, retails areas and office in Hanoi, provided that Kumho submits to KBC competitive proposals that satisfy KBC’s requirements.

In return, Kumho undertakes that its construction management techniques and workmanship meet all local and international building standards. Kumho also agrees to provide training, support and technical assistance in construction and engineering for KBC’s staff in a format agreed by the Parties from time to time.

If selected as the general contractor for a project of KBC, Kumho shall seek approval of KBC for sub-contractors recommended by Kumho, and that Kumho shall grant priority to KBC’s preferred subcontractors, provided that the preferred subcontractors satisfy Kumho requirements in carrying out the work.
