I am amazed that there wasn't a thread for Defence Regency! This is a massive development consisting of 3 towers and it is being built opposite to Centrepoint Tower.

I don't have any other information and neither could I find anything on the internet. When I pass by it next time, I will take pictures of the board installed in front of the building.

I don't think this is going to be a high quality project, seems like the rest of the mediocre buildings in the mega slum-y area just behind it. It's just that it's going to be taller. There will probably be no cladding on it, regular paint will be used and we know what the fates are of concrete buildings in Pakistan which use substandard paint and no maintenance.

If anything, I think it will spoil the effect of the Center Point at this location. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think the chances are high.

Try to find more information for this project. Next time I am in the area, sometime this week, I will take pictures of the hoarding installed outside the building. The problem is that right infront of it there is a VERY high security building and they have the entire street cordoned off and cameras and armed guards everywhere so it will be tough. But hey, I took pictures of the newly built amreekan umbassy so this is no biggie! :laugh:

I think in the range of 15-18, that's what it looks like from the render at the construction site.

It's a local builder project, without a crane, I doubt it will go near the height of center point (150m). I have a bad feeling this is going to become an eyesore within 5 years after completion, I am not enthusiastic about this project at all. Also because this will cause worsening of traffic at the roundabout there.

^^Hope they will give parking space for more than 500 cars..coz i can see a shopping mall too..

I think they do have parking space in the building, but I am more concerned about the cars coming out of that service lane, trying to go towards Korangi. Those cars block the path of those going towards PAF chapter.

I agree with you brightside.... it will be eyesore as it will not be maintained and it will be a traffic nightmare as soon as it is occupied. :(

There is no progress on the Center Point, hence no need for an update. When there is any progress, I will provide pictures. As it is, you can look at the last pic updates of CP, it is the same as it was in them.

No work on Center Point for last few months. Nothing to update.

Its center point at the back side of Defence regency? Since the center point would be glass cladded, it would've look awesome if defence regency was also cladded.

If they are 63 m than the center point is hardly 110 m as most of the ppl says its T/O than where is 150 m? i means if they dont install spires it should still be atleast 130 m...

Check out the Centre point thread, new renders there, they have reduced the height and hey will not install any spire. It's T/O now and height is around 110m.

Don't Believe on Wikipedia. But its height is nearly the same. CP is smaler than MCB i believe.

Plaster+Glass Cladding. Glass for Appartment's windows and Plaster and Paint on the rest of structure. 100 times better than the ugly blocks in Gulistan e Johar.

One of the towers is on the glass office building visible in pic two, the other two are on the white/yellow Express News building in pic 3.
