This is how Swazis live. Growing maize in the fields, raising the cattle and goats in the grazing land.

Our old age tradition and customs are still part of life. This Swazi woman is making clay pots for cooking and carrying water:

This is in Shiselweni known as the powerful region. This is where Swaziland (kaNgwane) was founded:

Swazis love their culture, their language and history. However some of these ways are not as common as they used to be because of the modern way of life. But Swazis try to preserve these through many different ways. We also incorporate our old traditions to our modern way of living hence making Swazi culture progressive. Here are a few more pictures that illustrate what Swazi people do.

A well dressed warrior:

The making of the traditional Swazi drum:

The Sibhaca dance, a popular dance in events:

The ummiso dance, also popular but done by girls:

Women sitting egumeni, where they do some of their chores:

The traditional Swazi homestead is built using grass and sticks, floors are made using fresh cow dung. They are also built in the form of rondavels.
Building these houses requires a very skilled person, from picking the grass, to the design and construction of the house.

The girls are wearing indlamu, a traditional attire for young girls. The dance performed there is also called indlamu.

eSwatini is Swaziland, and the king is rather... erm... insensitive, sending his many wives on shopping outings to Europe.

I envy Swaziland they keep the ancient African traditional which many have lost acting like westerner Wannabes:bash:

I wish all Africans still had the same mindset

I love the west but immitating them to the point you lose your tradition or feel embarassed is wrong :bash:
