Hi guys. I'm new to SCC. I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself:

I live in Ottawa, Canada (right beside you, London Canada). I'm going to Seoul, South Korea this summer to see my relatives. I really miss Korea ever since I immgrated to Canada in 1998. I miss the skyscrapers, the environment, friends, relatives and even the elbowing, pesty ajummas in South Korean malls. Anyways, expect a little bit of eye candy in the summer because my uncles, two of them in fact, live in the Tower Palaces. Both of them live in Tower Palace one. One Uncle in the 50th floor, and the other in the 49th.

My dad works in Dangjin, where he works as a director for a mediocre company and hes originally from the beautiful island of Wando. My Grandparents live in the Lotte Apartments but they're nothing special. Just fairly new, about 20 storey apartments beside fair sized, green mountains (nothing too special for Seoul).

It's near the geographical centre of Seoul - of course Yoeuido (Financial District) is a part of Seoul. ;)

it used to be the spotlight of seoul skyline, but now it seems it moved to gangnam
probably it will move once again after DMC in sangam gets built

the cheapest. somebody else bought those tickets for me so i had to pretend i believed the 1st class was full (BS!).

But i was not only facing backwards, i was facing the people in front of me and sharing a "table" that "separated" us. I couldn't move my knees cause the wrong movement and the woman in the front would wake up from her dream to give me a dirty look. and i had to stay still for the +3 hours, cause it was delayed (was it ever on time?). And the seats, literally, felt like sitting on a narrow park bench with a towel on it.

that's what i thought, and that's what all the people i know thought of it, so, i guess 1st class is better, but for the price of 1st class you can take a plane and it will be faster and cheaper.

DARN!!! That was their new roller coaster right? It was closed when I went there. I like the Lotte Mall.. its like 8 gigantic floors!! :)

Seoul is great (especially those residential towers) and looks not so chaotic like Tokyo.

@maxxam80: frankly, I'm not sure. It really depends on your definition of a skyscraper, but there are hundreds of new towers being bulit every year.

Hey...isn't there something wrong with this picture? If you notice on the far right and left, there is a cluster of buildings on either side that look exactly the same. Is some of this panorama photoshopped or what?

It's an error. It happens when you use the 360 pan mode (using either a camera option or a pan maker) and only takes 90 degrees or so of the pan.
