Hey guys I'm new to the site but felt, I needed to give some input as well as get some. I'm have been so happy to see the recent splurge of developments in Hobart but am a bit concerned with how ugly some of them are thus posting this thread. It seems to me that majority of buildings that have gone up recently are all prefabricated concrete buildings which to be honest come out looking butt ugly, i.e zero Davey and am concerned this is the way most buildings in Hobart are goin. I'm currently living in Vancouver and nearly all the highrises are glass paneled and far more attractive to look at then the grey unappealing buildings goin up in Hobart recently, the only one I have taken a keen interest in looks wise is the Riverlea proposal on the corner of Murray and Liverpool St's. Isn't it possible to get tall buildings being glass paneled rather than being just concrete, even paneled like the Hobart Private Hospital which looks much better than the majority of prefabricated buildings. I was super excited about Mnezies Centre but disappointed to see its dull boring exterior after being built. Lets get some beautiful blue green glass on some of those buildings to brighten up the place, does everything have to be uniformly grey and brown? what do you think guys
