Everyone else has their own thread, so I thought I'd get in on the act.

Ladies and Gentlemen, after a very long wait may I present the Russia Tower.

It's taken 18 months to get to this point (I've had a busy life!) but it's finally here.

You can now get the Russia Tower model as a free download from my website at

http://miniskyscrapers.googlepages.com/home

RIP Russia Tower, as the real thing has been cancelled.

Enjoy!

Robin

It's disturbing, how oblivious you can be sometimes cf, some days it's like you're devoid of deductive reasoning... >_<

And furthermore, he JUST posted this, and has been working on it for months; don't just ask what his next one is, it's presumptuous, and reflects an unappreciative attitude.

Anyway, bravo, Robin; brilliant work. I've been anticipating this day for some time.

The Russia Tower is now on my website at

http://miniskyscrapers.googlepages.com/

Thanks for the compliments guys, it was a frustrating model to do, as changes to the towers had a knock on effect on the base and spine. Also, it was an on-off project for a long while.

After I do a non skyscraper project next, I'm then contemplating building the Nanjing Greenland Financial Center/Plaza. This is due to enter the top 10 skyscrapers in the world upon imminent completion so a model would be good for my top 10 on my website!

thanks Rei,

there's a few little things I would want to fix on it if I can sum up the energy to go back to it but I'm pretty pleased with it as it is.

OMG thanks dude! This model eez da bomb!!! (well, after burj dubai :D)

Seriously, thanks piginapoke, this is now my 3rd tallest structure in my collection (after Burj Dubai and Tokyo Sky Tree). I just wish that there were more 600m+ structures we can build out there, as my skyline isn't improving much if I just have skyscrapers in the 200-400m range. (And I didn't want to make Chicago Spire, I didn't like its old design :( )

Terminator,
i'd love to see a photo of your collection

I just noticed the Nanjing Greenland Plaza has now officially complete and has entered the Top 10 world's tallest and yet we don't have a model of it yet! I'll have to get cracking with a version of it!

Robin, ask ausie if he still has the base design. He started making it 3 months ago but he didn't know how to comlete it. It isn't really a "base design" but somethin is better than nothin eh?

Hey quality over quantity. There are some with more than I, but sometimes the work is visibly hurried, or of moderate skill. Your buildings appear to be excellent!

thanks ATG :) I too prefer quality over quantity, as one of my biggest fear is someone asking "What's that?". So crafting them with precision makes the buildings look more aesthetically pleasing and it makes you happier as well :D

I just use scissors and clear liquid glue (for most models) and sometimes my cutter and ruler will kick in when I need to scar and fold stuff.

Do you know where to find more 600m+ models to build? As of now I have Russia Tower, Guangzhou TV and sightseeing tower, Tokyo Sky Tree and Burj Dubai. (And I'm aware that Chicago Spire is avaliable but I don't really like its old design)

Thanks in avance :D

It sounds like you've got most of the extant 600m+ models covered. If i hear of any others i'll be sure to let you know

how abotu my KVLY TV tower from north dakota, its more than 600m and very simple to build, however you may want to use a thin steel rod for the main tower and some wood for a base with fishing wire for cables.
