Very nice, for a city its size it looks pretty big. It reminds me a lot of Lansing.

Thanks Naptown! I'm hoping to get even better angles in the future. These don't really show the whole skyline.

Nice pics! I like the city's lowline skyline, it reminds me of how Norfolk's skyline looks, very modest. I like the pic of the skyline between the trees, the first link under "THIRD" The hills are nice against the skyline; Syracuse seems to have a mix of natural beauty too.

Very nice photos. Great angles too. It would be great if the skyline would expand though.

Great photos. The skyline is nice, although there is not much new.

Syracuse has a nice lowrise skyline, but in upstate NY, Albany kills, especially considering it has <100,000 (but I don't have any pics, sorry)
Awesome pics BTW

Does 'Cuse have any new highrise projects now? Wasn't there a 47 story hotel?

just a couple 400+ footers would set that skyline off, but you need the people to fill the towers

oh and by the way...Albany sucks!

i see the infamous white honda that manages to show up in a lot of the pics. next time i'm in syracuse, i'll look out for a white accord with a camera sticking out from it.

nice pics, btw.

Aww, my heart fluttered when I saw Schiller Park pool. I spent many a summer day there. I grew up about 6 blocks from there.

is that parking lot where you took the pictures like the "look-out point" of syracuse where kids go to make-out, like in the movies? Excellent shots, syracuse looks good!

You should clarify this statement..."but in upstate NY, outside of Western NY, Albany kills..."

Then maybe the statement would be true.

Wow, looks like a cute little city in an attractive setting.

Some of those vistas remind me of Duluth, Minnesota.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

Ummm where are the rowhomes?

Syracuse has very few... the only picture I could find of rowhouses is:

bjfan82, I don't know, never thought about that before :) I don't go to the city that often, it very well could be the look-out point for the city. BTW, the parking lot is over flow parking for the Syracuse Zoo.

BuffCity, I agree that Syracuse needs a couple 400 + footers. IMO, a building needs to be over 400 ft before it becomes impressively tall. Traveling past Toledo's skyline lately I found it to be more impressive. Toledo has 4 buildings taller than Syracuse's tallest (315 ft).
