I know the expansion plans for the CTA (Red Line, Orange Line, Yellow Line extension as well as the development of the Circle Line) and at least most of the line extensions should be completed by 2016 and the Circle Line by 2020.

Now there is less than enough expansion plan information on the internet for the Metra. I was wondering if there was any info on Metra expansion?

I know there is some talk about extending the Metra to Milwalkee and it intrigues me becuase it would definitely give me more of a reason to use the Metra. Also, something I would find interesting would be a "Metra Circle Line" that links Napierville, Joliet, and Shaumburg.

But is there any updated info?

Above are some of the plans and studies for Metra expansion. The Metra Circle Line that you speak of is actually called the STAR line.

Sweet! Is construction on schedule for these projects?

The 'extension' of Metra to Milwaukee is called the KRM Line(Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee) and it will eventually happens if Wisconsin figures out how to fund it.
