CW8 May 19th, 2004, 07:26 AM Very nice layout and mix of densities, you used buildings from SC3BAT? :)
Style™ May 20th, 2004, 03:17 AM I like the city. Nice parks and collection of buildings. :)
Jimmy James May 21st, 2004, 12:25 PM Yep got a lot of buidings from SC3K.com! I tried to go for big in the centre and small in the suburbs.
Þróndeimr June 16th, 2004, 08:49 PM Its a nice city, thou i would made some niver terrain and parks. 6/10
Style™ June 16th, 2004, 08:57 PM does anyone else love the style of buildings in sc3k? i love it ...would just be nice if the game were as complex as sim city 4
Nameless July 9th, 2004, 12:57 AM 8 decent enough
ABS July 9th, 2004, 02:48 PM Sim City 4 is too complex, it's a pain to play.
Stratosphere 2020 July 27th, 2004, 04:10 PM 8/10 alright
gundamdude July 31st, 2004, 03:09 AM I like the city. Nice parks and collection of buildings. :)
I totally agree.
Jimmy James August 21st, 2004, 07:53 AM @ ABS - I'm finding the same thing about SC4, I actually find it less flexible to build the city you want and way harder to get good buildings, Also your city tends to teeter on the brink of Bankruptcy so you can't do anything cool with it.
Furiine August 21st, 2004, 10:26 AM Very nice work there. The type of layout you used reminds me of Chicago, especially how the density varies so much.
By the way, if you have any questions about Sim City 4, I'd be glad to answer them. It seems like money problems are the biggest problems with SC4 players, but the remedy is not as hidden as it seems and YES you can build a dream city. First order of business, save money. Your Sims don't care too much about services early in the game, just later when your tax base is strong. :D
And check out http://www.simcitycentral.net or http://www.simtropolis.com. Questions and answers up the wazoo on all stages of your city's life. Keep up the good work anyway. I like seeing old Sim City games being revived with projects.
Jimmy James October 23rd, 2005, 12:34 AM As an update I've been playing Sim CIty 4 for over a year now and I'll say two things - it took me a while to figure out how to sustain my city - In SC3K it was easy you just build a bunch of power plants and sell the power to your neighbours bringing in the dough nonstop - in SC4 you have to build your own neighbours so the onus is to get your city's individual tax base right - it took some doing but now I'm at the stage where it's working incely.
I'm also working on a new version of Geelong. I'll post soome pics soon!

Atl_Col October 23rd, 2005, 08:33 PM terraforming in sim city 3 was so easy
Jimmy James October 23rd, 2005, 10:30 PM Yes you're right - you could get exactly the shape you needed and well into the game as well - now it's a real chore!
