Okay, I just had to bring this up for discussion. Only because it is hitting the national circuits. What does everyone think about this photo of President Obama bowing to Pam Iorio?

I think it's an awkward capture of a normal reception, she said something (probably like "it's great to have you hear and we can't wait for the HSR") and he agreed with a nod. Watch the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12YeCiAtt04). This is something every single person (and president!) has done.

Partisans make me sick. Pam's a class act through and through though, she kept trying to talk about HSR when Fox News had her on to try and make fun of Obama.

Fox is a joke. Does anyone remember this? It happened RIGHT HERE. Sorry but I refuse to think fox is a credible news source

Fox is just another right wing :puke: network, owned by George Bush's buddies and they use every means possible to discredit Obama. They have gotten so low...and what they do is totally disrespectful and unpatriotic. :puke:

I saw this morning (not sure if it was before or after Iorio was on) that they have literally succumbed to playing with action figures (http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201002020004) of their new hero Scott Brown as they keep talking about his future [hypothetical] run for President. It's like they are parodying themselves. Pathetic.

Meh, it is really not anything to care about. No matter that they are both Democrats.

Who cares really? I think it's amusing that people find it so interesting. Both sides play politics like this.

What's amusing is everyone locally is picking up on it. Biggest non-story distraction of the year (SO FAR!) by way of the media giving it 15 minutes.

It doesn't deserve 30 seconds. Let alone the amount of text the mainstream media have given it in print (The Times, Bay News 9 online...). Stupid.

It's sad that it is even on national news. Fox isn't the only one airing it. I've seen it on CNN and MSNBC. If Obama goes to the zoo and bows to the animals there, I could care less. None of this is news.

If it's a nod, it's a deep (and silly looking) one, but I don't think this is news worthy.

As far as FOX goes, it really depends on the show. Usually the straight news reporting (Baier, Smith and even Greta) is just fine. The commentary shows are just that- commentary. I find MSNBC's commentary to be father to the left then FOX's is to the right anyway.

So what if they want to make fun of Obama? Bush had a beat down when he was in office from a lot more networks and media then Obama does so don't give me that "unpatriotic" crap.

He was leaning over to hear what she was saying. If you watch the video, you can see he gets a little closer and puts his head down slowly to hear what she was saying. Judging by the fact that they were standing by a running airplane, it would make sense that he didn't hear her that good. To Fox News or any other news circuit that has developed this as "NEWS!", this isn't news! There is wars, economic issues, and so on going on RIGHT NOW! Focus on them stuff.

Sorry FF I can't trust a news corp. that sued over this. Personally I don't trust ANY TV/Newspaper news source. I've researched several articles and found them to be complete b.s.
"the court declared that the FCC policy against falsification that Fox violated was just a policy and not a "law, rule, or regulation"
This discredits all media news IMO.
"The court agreed with WTVT's (Fox) argument "that the FCC's policy against the intentional falsification of the news -- which the FCC has called its "news distortion policy" -- does not qualify as the required "law, rule, or regulation" under section 448.102.[...] Because the FCC's news distortion policy is not a "law, rule, or regulation" under section 448.102, Akre has failed to state a claim under the whistle-blower's statute."
