Planning the future of the site, dealing with the constraints, land ownership etc.

Something that should have been started by the ANC.

Ideally to create a mixed use precinct with housing, recreation, commercial etc. but perhaps with more social aims than Century City.

Integration with Century City will be vital and attract major investors and developers.

They should connect the new Century City Station and other parts of Wingfield with Century City like this

Exactly what I was thinking...a natural progression of Century City onto the other side of the highway would be great, providing that it doesn't attract companies out of the CBD.

Good point, many companies returning to the CBD (e.g. Deloittes relocated back from Claremont) but that the Century City node is potentially more accessable than the CBD to most of metropolis, especially as it expands up west coast and north of bellville, with the new station and completion of N1/M5 interchange, think the City will probably not allow to much commercial bulk on the site to prevent an imbalance - one would hope town planners are thinking ahead and preserving CBD which still has atleast 500,000sqm of unused bulk (excluding the 200,000sqm unused in Waterfront)

exactly so in other words develop decentralised nodes like this and kiss good bye any new CBD towers

The CBD has enough energy, government support and businesses looking after it.

There will be an impact of course but the CBD with or without a major Century City node will flourish in the future.
