As the crisis is nearing the end, some good news start coming in.

There is no any official info yet and no renderings, but there have been reports of a crane being assembled on the site.

The smaller 9-storey building (Helios City B) will get another 9 storeys ontop which will make it to 18 storeys and about 64m.

The 9 storey part of Helios City looked like this in 2007 (it is fully finished now with some apartments occupied). It is incredible but they are actually going to continue building after a break of 2 years and with people already living in some apartments. I wonder how will they feel? :)

Helios City is made up of a 27 storey 96m tower, a shopping center and 9 storey (to be 18 storey) "tower".

Now, of course, we'll anticipate some photo updates by those who are in Vilnius.

Nice to see some construction in Lithuania  Can't say, that I like the Helios tower design though (maybe it's just me,but this reminds me some Asian commieblock/apartment tower)

Sry for my ignorance, but where is the Helios City complex located in Vilnius?

True, it looks like a scaled down version of those massive blocks in Hong Kong or Shanghai :D

It's located here (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=54.679184,25.257772&daddr=&hl=en&geocode=&mra=mi&mrsp=0&sz=18&sll=54.679017,25.258121&sspn=0.002028,0.005681&ie=UTF8&ll=54.679588,25.260111&spn=0.004057,0.011362&t=k&z=17), in the New Town area next to Furum Cinema and not too far from Crowne Plaza hotel. Just zoom out to see the context. Looks a little lonely... But I can only imagine the view from up there. It's located on one of the higher geographical spots in Vilnius.
