This is my fist post.

A couple of weeks ago, i built a large city of about 250,000 people, and I was getting the smaller versions of the stage 8 buildings, like Trottier Trading, Cameron Cameras, Lillard Audio, ect.,but I was no where near the rewqierments of 600,000 metro pop. I just don't get it.

What do you mean? Do you mean you want the larger versions of stage 8s? Or do you want to get a higher population?

Actually Trottier Trading, Cameron Cameras, and Lillard Audio are not stage 8 buildings. They are stage 7 buildings (4*3 lot size).

However, you can get stage 8 buildings (4*4 lot size) like Fisk Insurance and Ong Condos when the metro population is 200,000 if your office demand is extremely high and the zoning is good (w/ low crime rate and high customers.) For example, one of my regions, Toronto, had stage 8 buildings when its metro population was 240,000 and the city's population was only 120,000. :)

Funny the Wren Insurance qualifies as a Stage 8 huh? When obviously the stated buildings are bigger than it.

I only got Stage 8 CO$$$ when I had 1,000,000 region population and after lots of bulldozing lots of Futa Consulting and Wren Insurance that just have to pop out.

No, Wren Insurance IS a stage 8 building. It's one of mysteries. :)

Fisk Insurance definitely is Stage 8. 4000 peeps over such a small tile of land. Too bad, it isn't really high. :)

Don't forget these two buildings from Rush Hour:

The bigger one is "Hogan Wallace and White Insurance" and the greenish one is the Simon and Frank Associates. Also there's another one in the Euro tileset that hires 7000+ Sims like that of Pedriana Pharmacepticals.

You need to have a very high demand for the CO§§§ as in 7/8 bar or full bar demand. Since those hire > 4000 people. You might want to try having a commercial only city and feed that city full of people, like > 800K from neighbours and such. The demand should be high then. But still you might need to demolish those smaller ones if you don't see them coming out. Or just have a very high region pop, and build every single space in the region, sooner or later definitely got those huge Stage 8s.
