Please pardon my ignorance, but if this is Seoul's old CBD, is there a new CBD? And if so, is it far from the old CBD? Is the old CBD no longer a "classy" address?

Also, what is Cheong-gye-cheon?

@boybaha
Dont mind askig boybaha^^. This CBD was in use since 1400's from Chosun times. Actually Seoul have more than one CBD the skyscraper cluster is spread apart. There is this one Jung-gu, Yoido, Teheran-ro, Gangnam, Tower Palace, Borame park and Hyperion. Cheong-gye-cheon was a stream that run across Seoul but in 50's we made highway over it so now we are trying to restore the old stream.

The CBD's neither as sterile nor clean as the pictures suggest. In reality, there's still a lot of older buildings. But that translates to a much busier nightlife.

IMHO, much more interesting than a typical American downtown.

I love old CBD of Seoul. It's look classic and modern together. I see some parts look like CBD of San Frans

The old CBD of Seoul, kind of reminds me of La Defense of Paris. Great harmony of old and new!!!
