i voted for basked in glory. two curves - the road and the river, allied with the soft light and almost monchromatic result appeal to me. i would crop out the sun at the top right though

but i could have easily voted for the city never sleeps as well. imaginative and dynamic composition

There are so many good pictures in this contest. I noticed that some pictures are taken with point-and-shoot camera while a couple of pictures are taken using fancy SLR cameras. One particular picture is taken using a camera worth more than a $1,000. With that kinda camera you can do a lot with your picture. You can't have a feather-weight fighter fighting with a heavy-weight boxer. Hence my vote goes to the picture which is taken using a simple point-and-shoot camera and yet the effect is fairly dramatic. My vote goes to Clouds over Castle.

@ engineer.akash - Your picture is great too. I came pretty close voting for your picture.
