I thought that's where 1390 was going. Guess i'll have to look again. I agree it needs to be 10-15 floors taller.

The 1390 Is Going Behind Espirito Santo And In The Middle Of Jade It Wraps Around A Small Little 3-4 Story Glass Building Allready There...

Solaris Did The Same They Kept The Small House There And Another Building...

It Gives The City A Stepping Down Affect So It Doesnt Look Menacing... If You Ask Me It Looks Out Of Place Because Just Makes Out Of Towners Think There Where No Zoning Laws In Effect...

Sorta Like Houston Texas Ranches Next Door To Gasoline Stations Next Door To Skyscrapers A Total Hodge Podge Of Zoning Disasters.

This is the Thread that has PICS of SOLARIS CONDOS at the Bottom. Enjoy the small Condo Tower in the middle of all the taller ones, lol. :)

That empty space in front of solaris on the bay is where Villa Magna is going to go. This condo will be boxed in on all sides by much taller biuldings. Its residents will have great views of the sides of other buildings.

Unless you face the water or are on the 70 th floor almost every building on Brickell will soon be blocked by other buildings.

Within the last few months, the little glass 3/4 story building people sold out to 1390 Brickell. The extra FAR has lead to a few more sky lofts on top of 1390.

Yes, I understand that the height has been increase from 39 to 49 stories and that it breaks ground Nov/Dec.

wow, i just got on here to say that i called 1390 to see when they were breaking ground & found out that they did buy the extra land & the tower was now gonna be 49 stories, but you guys beat me to it. you guys are good!

dale, the sales lady i just talked to at 1390 said they'd be breaking ground around jan/feb, but i like your dates better. either way, it's nice to know that the building will be 49 stories now. the lady i talked to wanted to make sure i knew that 1390 will now be"taller than jade." it'd be nice if she was right. in stories, yeah, 1390 will now be one taller than jade, but we'll see how that translates to actual height.

i also called infinity & they said they'll be breaking ground in january & latitude said they had already broken ground. that may ony be a technicality for latitude since only the land has been cleared, but it shouldn't be too long til it starts going vertical.

man, 2005 is gonna be an amazing year for the miami skyline!

EDIT: just called the related group & was told that the plaza on brickell is supposed to break ground next month. &, yes, she said both towers. niiiice!

YES DAVE :) , We Try,lol. But anyway 1390 BRICKELL goes UP , it will be SUPER nice, BUT I see No groundbreaking till March, 2005, The reason that small building on the Northeast corner, the occupants in that glass office building are gonna be there for at least another 6 months. 1390 Tower is Part of that small Glass building. I see Heavy Construction Hopefully by June, 2005.

I think Solaris had to be a smaller building, because there was probably alot of protest from the owners of the Greenberg Taurig glass building directly behind it...which has been there for years and has had unobstructed views until now. So atleast with the smaller building, most of the views of the GT building are somewhat preserved.

i'm not surprised, chuck. whenever i hear a construction date, i add at least a month or two to that date cause these things never seem to start on time. hell, i'd been waiting for brickell on the river for years before it broke ground. so january, march...it's all the same to me as long as it goes up. that's the nice thing about miami right now, there's so much activity that we don't have to sweat when one spoecific building is gonna go up cause there's three more that will break ground in the mean time. ain't it great?

GOING VERTICAL: Solaris, a 138-unit condo, is rising at 186 SE 12th Terrace. "We're done with the foundation and have started going vertical," said developer Harvey Hernandez, president of H&H Development Co. Solaris is to feature 770- to 1,685-square-foot units starting at $275,000. It's to open in late 2005 and is 95% sold, he said, with about nine units remaining. Proximity to major hotels, restaurants and office centers helped, he said. "We target single professionals and couples that work hard and play hard." Details: www.solariscondos.com.

sorry to revive such an old thread, Anyone have any more info on this building? Has it been boxed in yet?

For now it has an un-impeded wide view of the bay but when and if Villa Magna gets built, its parking pedistal will be almost as tall as Solaris and will finish of Solaris' boxing in by taller buildings on all sides.
