Footbal Club Twente from Enschede, the Netherlands is planning a huge expand of it's home base.
The original stadium, built in 1998 had 13.250 seats, this remained to be until 2008.
The football club kept on gaining succes in the Eredivisie (highest football division) and decided to expand the building in several phases.
In the first phase (2008) the building's capacity was extended to 24.000 seats.
In the second phase (this year), another 10.000 seats will be added.
With The Netherlands and Belgium being one of the candidates for the 2018/2022 World Championships-
and The Grolsch Veste being one of the match-cities, the stadium will face it's final expansion, to 44.000 seats.
