I think you're refering to the Centrio (Kukun) Hotel... With regards to total mall experience, the pride of Cagayan de Oro, Lim Ket Kai Complex has already given us that... But, Centrio's entry to our city is a more than welcome development... Though LKK has given Kagay-anons and visitors a very nice malling experience, Ayala Malls always have something unique to offer... And, we are really excited about this... Centrio, though a lot smaller than the LKK Complex, will change CdeO's urban landscape daw... :-)

im sorry to cut u off guys but raxville, i believe jheaux is sincere with what he said, even i would personally give kudos to d design and concept of d mall, imo, one of d best looking once completed and operational. And seeing all ayala malls, i am yet to see one which isnt distinctly beautiful. And because of such brand and image that Ayala upholds, then for me, im confident that this project will turn out great.

Downtown Cebu City has a bit similarity to CdeO's downtown area, IMO. Thus for me, Cebu is a home away from home. :)

The Ayala Land Inc. joint-venture project now under construction in Cagayan de Oro will be a "regional mall" rather than the usual "strip center" shopping mall.

The proposed mixed-used development combines the traditional shopping mall with amenities aimed at upscale consumers in progressive regional urban centers.

"We don´t aim to compete with existing malls but rather present a "total lifestyle" experience for the upper income niche market which integrates shopping with dining, leisure and entertainment," said Emilio Tumbocon, senior vice president-VisMin Group of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI).


Named Centrio , the project is a joint venture with Anflo Management and Investment Corp. and Mindanao Motors Corporation, which owns the 3.2 hectare property located in the heart of an emerging business district bounded by C.M. Recto Avenue, Corrales Avenue and Capt. Vicente Roa St. directly across Gaisano City Mall.

Tumbocon said the three-level mall (exclusive of one-level basement parking) will have a gross leasable area of approximately 70,000 square meters (sq.m.) and would have an anchor store, upscale signature brand boutiques, fashion forward brands, four cinemas, fine dining and fast-food chains with 100 percent back up power in consideration of the prevailing power situation in Mindanao.



Investment for the project was pegged at P4.5-billion with the inclusion of an 8-storey, 150-room "boutique" hotel to be operated by an ALI subsidiary, with an option for a 4-storey Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Hub building on top of the mall with a gross leasable area of 10,000 sq.m. and a residential condominium within the property.

The name "Centrio" denotes a convergence of various establishments located at the commercial heart of a city. As of now, there are two Ayala Centers: Ayala Center, Makati and Ayala Center, Cebu. Ayala Malls are the focus of these centers, and both integrate recreational, residential, and business establishments arranged in open air settings with grids akin to city streets which encourage shoppers to stroll between stores.
