It's U/C height 191 meters(627 ft) 47 floors and completion date 2013.

191 is the height to the roof, right?
What about the spire on the top of the buiding?

architectural and roof heigt 191m(627ft) meters.Spire 201m (660ft)

It has now been under construction since June this year.

i like the design aswell but the other towers look a bit like small new york tower.

Foundations don't look very deep for an earthquake exposed city... and many towers there seem to be built like this, we will see really bad stuffs in future.

Foundation depth is not the decisive factor when it comes to earthquake resistance. It is the structural design and bedrock analysis on which the building rises.

its design great and very good location , It will be picturesque when it is finished.

Hello guys!

I'm in Istanbul for a very short stay & I must say that I really am impressed by the amount of working sites currently under construction, furthermore they are huge schemes, really amazing!:) Your city is really buzzing with activity...I went out earlier in the day (I'm near the very tall 'Urun Kabul tower'), reminds me a bit of Montparnasse Tower in Paris but much taller. I went back to my hotel with a big headache :lol:, too many people, cars (gosh, the turkish drivers are even madder than parisian ones :lol:). Having said that, Istanbul is gigantic & looks beautiful & really interesting to visit. I love your mosks with their minarets surrounding them.

Hope I'll have more time in the future to really make the most of your beautiful country as I'm leaving tomorrow...by folks!:goodbye:

PS: by the way, the Spine tower is awesome!

EDIT: SAPPHIRE TOWER, that's it!!! :doh:/Thanks Ehran, next time I come back, I'll try & take pics of the numerous schemes indeed. Unfortunately this time, I couldn't do it as it's an express visit...Bye :wave:

They should build two 400 meter pluss Buildings also one on each side of the strait one in European style on the European side and one Arabic or general Asian style on the Asian side

Istanbul is really impressive, so many new towers coming in a quite short time.

Looks like it is already the tallest skyscraper in the Maslak cluster.

Definitely, but situation for DOI is still unclear.. It's now for many years like this.. I don't know whats going to happen with it, Lets hope that they at least finish it, hight doesn't matter anymore..
