How about showing us the "technical details" of the bridges? Such as the length, heights, and so on?

Roads and Bridges: Macau has 321 kilometers of public roads. Two highway bridges link Macau to Zhuhai, the most recent of which, the 1.3-kilometer-long, six-lane Lotus Bridge, opened in December 1999. Two bridges link peninsular Macau with Taipa. The first, a 2.6 kilometer-long highway bridge, was completed in 1974; the second, completed in 1994 to serve the new Macau International Airport, is 4.4 kilometers long and four lanes wide. An eight-kilometer-long dual-lane highway links the airport and the Zhuhai border crossing. Taipa is connected to Coloane with a 2.2-kilometer-long causeway. The 38-kilometer-long connector, to be called the Lingdingyang Bridge, has been proposed to link Macau and Zhuhai with Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Buses and numerous taxicabs provide public transportation. Motorists in 1999 used some 55,114 automobiles and trucks and 58,116 motorcycles.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (港珠澳大橋) is a giant bridge that will connect the west side of Hong Kong with Macau and the neighbouring city of Zhuhai, situated on the west side of the Pearl River Delta, and part of mainland China's southern industrial powerhouse.

The proposed 29 kilometer (18 mile) bridge is expected to cost US $2 billion to $3.7 billion.

Why do they not build a tunnel instead?

Maybe it will cost cheaper if they build the bridge instead ... :)

The third bridge construction halt due to the accident.

Construction of Macao's first cable-stayed bridge was suspended Sunday for a thorough safety scrutiny after two construction workers died while working on the bridge over the past week.

The two workers, both transient workers from China's mainland, accidentally fell into the shallow seashore between the Macao Peninsula and Taipa Island. One was found drown, and the other hadhis head hit on the pier.

The construction of the bridge has been undergone day and nightto catch the completion deadline by the year end.

The casualty has forced the undertaker, the Chon Tit Macao Investment and Development Co. Ltd., to suspend the construction for serious safety checks including construction facilities and management.

Designed with double deck carriageway, the cable-stayed bridge adopted the world's first design of pylon type. Cable of the bridge stays at 10-meter intervals and arrays in shape of a harp.

The 2,200-meter bridge will have six lanes in the upper layer and four lanes in the lower. The lower floor will be shut down in common days and open only when a typhoon hits the city.

The bridge construction is the largest public project since Macao returned to the motherland at the end of 1999.

Macao's first cable-stayed bridge was Monday named "Sai Van" meaning West Lake, which was selected from over 1,000 entries in a contest.

Construction of the 2,200-meter bridge has been the largest public project since Macao returned to the motherland at the end of 1999. The project was scheduled for completion before the fifth anniversary of the founding of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) on Dec. 20.

Since the unveiling of the bridge will be an important part of the anniversary celebration, Macao people have paid a special concern to the naming of the bridge. A five-member judging committee was set up in August to receive proposals for the name of the bridge. The selection result has been submitted to the SAR government to make the final choice.

Designed with double deck carriageways, the cable-stayed bridge adopted the world's first design of pylon type. It starts from the Sai Van Lake on the Macao Peninsula linking it to Taipa Island.

An important feature of the bridge is that cable of the bridge stays at 10-meter intervals and arrays in a M-shaped arch that signals the capital letter of "Macao".

Construction of the bridge started in 2002. The double-deck design allows six lanes in the upper layer and four lanes in the lower, which is shut down in common days and opens only when a typhoon hits the city.

As the third bridge linking the Macao Peninsula and Taipa Island, the bridge has also left room for the installation of a light rail. The bridge is important in infrastructure to accommodate an economic take-off of the Macao SAR.
