I think it a long way from the Hard Rock its just at the far gate of Dubai Media City behind where the stages and lakes are set up.

I dont think any construction boom in history has even come close to what's happening in Dubai at the moment, that's even without considering how tiny the population size is.

By the way...did someone notice that the tower on the right (background of render) looks exactly the same like the one in Minneapolis (minnesota) downtown.....and in another thread there was another scraper from MPLS downtown clearly visible in the background.

It probably underwent a redesign of the facade during construction, but a newer render was never released to the public. The actual version already looks a bit dated, IMO, but it's still better than the original vision.

I think something is lacking on this building... I hope they're gonna add some things to give it a more modern look, but indeed, it doesn't have to be like it's initial plans.

Yeah it looks way better like that. Thought it was kinda crappy before but not anymore :)

Even something as simple as thin vertical metal mullions in between the vertical columns would have made this look better during the day.

Definitely looks better at night, though. HUGE improvement over the day.

Al Merkaaz is the amazing restaurant on the ground floor. Ram is the best waiter!
