The property, an investment exceeding AED 300 million (USD 81.7 million), is in the final phase of completion, which includes upgrades in interior design. The 59-storey property features a variety of hotel room and apartment configurations, offering flexible options, with 24 spacious studios; six one-bedroom, 170 two-bedroom, and 55 three-bedroom apartments. There are also six exclusive penthouses of over 300 square metres each. In an industry where location is paramount, the Emirates Marina Hotel & Residence is a prime venue on Dubai's Marina, offering breathtaking views over the Gulf and Palm Island, as well as the Marina itself. It is short walk away from Dubai's prime commercial estates - Dubai Media and Internet cities - and the yacht marina, with its promenades lined with cafes, shops and restaurants. A championship golf course and the popular Jumeirah Beach are within easy reach and accessible from the hotel. The hotel's larger-than-standard rooms and apartments combine the best of two worlds - the choice of staying in a plush hotel, or the option of a homely, fully-furnished, and well-provisioned apartment - with fully-equipped kitchens containing modern appliances. The hotel offers three dining options, including a Mediterranean-style restaurant located on the Spa floor, offering both indoor and alfresco dining, an International fusion restaurant located on the hotel's top-floor level, and a fashionable delicatessen and coffee shop. The hotel offers a 24-hour room service, with apartments featuring the option of daily housekeeping with an evening turn-down service. Emirates Hotels and Resorts' luxury Timeless Spa - occupying almost an entire floor of the Emirates Marina Hotel & Residence, is dedicated to providing relaxation massages and beauty treatment rooms, with its own unique range of beauty products which have been developed in conjunction with BABOR, the world-renowned spa specialists, and made from indigenous products such as dates and frankincense. The Spa level facilities include his and hers saunas, jacuzzis, and a well-appointed gymnasium with an outdoor pool and relaxation deck. Hans Haensel, Emirates' Divisional Senior Vice President Destination & Leisure Management said: 'We are delighted with the way that the Emirates Hotel and Residence has shaped up - both in terms of the actual build and the luxury fittings and facilities which we have specified. This property, like all our properties, will follow the traditions of good hospitality and guest services set by Emirates' Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa, and we are confident that we will provide our guests with memorable experiences." 'All the properties in the Emirates Hotels and Resorts stable that are currently in the construction pipeline, will help to support Dubai's strategic plan and ever-growing demand for hotel rooms and fully serviced, luxury apartments. The Emirates Marina provides the best of both worlds, with strong demand for both long and short stay options in Dubai, and we are confident that this property will suit both our leisure travellers as well as corporate executives on short or extended visits in the city.' Other services include a business centre and meeting room, tour and concierge services. The Emirates Marina Hotel & Residence is part of Emirates Hotels & Resorts, the airline's premier hospitality management division containing a portfolio of award-winning luxury conservation-based resorts, spas, and fully-serviced upmarket apartment accommodation. Some of the other properties in the portfolio include the world-renowned Emirates Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa; another conservation-based resort in Australia - the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa, which starts construction within months; Emirates Green Lakes Serviced Apartments due to open in early 2008, and the Emirates Park Towers Hotel & Residence, under construction and due to open in 2010. Part of Emirates' Destination and Leisure Management division, Emirates Hotels & Resorts holds as its central vision the provision of exceptional guest services aimed at individuality of needs, the best possible location in any destination, and luxurious facilities. It looks stupid, because tower close fasade of other one, also Marina would be very sunny I think... Hi Croat Exactly what I was thinking they had the potential to start from scratch with the best designers in the world why did they have to put them as close. The Sheik should never have sanctioned this planning disaster in the first place. I have no doubt it will look ok but it could and should have been 100 times better. Croat March 20th, 2007, 03:49 PM Hi Croat Exactly what I was thinking they had the potential to start from scratch with the best designers in the world why did they have to put them as close. The Sheik should never have sanctioned this planning disaster in the first place. I have no doubt it will look ok but it could and should have been 100 times better. ^^ Hi Hanna, Maybe towers have connected garage, or they planned to have large shadows because of high temperature, or closely towers make better isolation from sun to other ones, I don't know... But as I said, it looks stupid coz it's uglification for tower design, and I believe it's unpleasant to live or even to work if people from other tower offices are watching you from few meters... :ohno: dubaiflo March 20th, 2007, 09:12 PM ^^ the one and only simply reason you all don't understand is beachfront property. aside from this, there is actually not that much space left in dubai. Tractor March 21st, 2007, 12:59 AM Also the distance between the towers is deceptively large - more than 1/2 the thickness of the towers themselves. Croat March 21st, 2007, 03:06 AM ^^ the one and only simply reason you all don't understand is beachfront property. aside from this, there is actually not that much space left in dubai. As I see on Maps, Dubai is over 50 km wide (from Waterfront to Palm Deira), maybe they need better urban organization... Croat March 21st, 2007, 03:07 AM I'm still little bit sad because they didn't build this design: :ohno: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v663/Upandhi/WestsideMarinaPlan.jpg dubaiflo March 22nd, 2007, 02:04 PM ^^ sure that would have been awesome. but also complicated and expensive. Croat March 22nd, 2007, 04:26 PM ^^ sure that would have been awesome. but also complicated and expensive. ^^ Nothing is complicated or expensive for Dubai, I think design is bad for water circulation, that's why. Also, Sheik Zayed Road would split Marina at half, so imagine traffic jams around area... Josau March 31st, 2007, 07:25 PM http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/5941/emiratesservicedandmorebj3.jpg (http://imageshack.us) ^^ from flickr march 30th' 07 Imre April 13th, 2007, 11:36 AM 13/April/2007 Emirates Crown and Emirates Marina http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/6117/photo022kv3.jpg (http://imageshack.us) http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/3520/photo021je2.th.jpg (http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?image=photo021je2.jpg)http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/8786/photo026cf1.th.jpg (http://img99.imageshack.us/my.php?image=photo026cf1.jpg)http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/3669/photo027sl5.th.jpg (http://img99.imageshack.us/my.php?image=photo027sl5.jpg)http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/4963/photo038kk3.th.jpg (http://img99.imageshack.us/my.php?image=photo038kk3.jpg) AltinD April 14th, 2007, 11:02 PM I can't understand why do they still keep the crane up there. dubaiflo April 15th, 2007, 05:57 AM i saw it moving though, they still need it for some reason. But if they did change the name, I would not be against it. "The Harbour" is nice. Following some modifications primarily to its public space and reconfiguration of some rooms bringing the new room count to 232 rooms, the property will be rebranded the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites later this year and will be the first upscale Marriott-branded hotel in the city. The agreement represents the second contract Marriott has reached with Emirates this year. Earlier, the company signed an agreement with Emirates to operate the under-construction 1,614-room JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai. "We are very excited by the expansion of our long-standing relationship with Emirates Airline and Group, and by the continued growth of our portfolio in Dubai. Despite the current challenging economy, our hotels in Dubai continue to perform well and we are confident that this latest addition to our portfolio will be attractive to business and leisure travelers alike." said Ed Fuller, President & Managing Director of International Lodging for Marriott International. Tim Clark, president of Emirates Airline, said "Since the opening of The Harbour, we have received a good response from our customers, enjoyed an average occupancy of 76% for the year and have a firm financial base. Marriott, as a leading international hotel management group operating several successful brands, has the track-record and the global infrastructure to build on our investment in The Harbour and take it to further heights. The partnership will now enable Emirates Hotels & Resorts to focus on its core business of conservation-based resorts with Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and with Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa in Australia, scheduled for 'soft opening' in October." The Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites offers a combination of studio rooms, one-, two- and three-bedroom suites and four-bedroom penthouses. Each suite is tastefully appointed and features high-speed internet access; flat-screen, high definition television; in-room mini-bar and safe; and plush bed and bath amenities and linens. Dining and entertainment options comprise a lobby lounge and three restaurants including a casual, all-day outlet with seasonal outdoor seating, a specialty restaurant that will have seasonal outdoor dining and lounge seating and a larger specialty restaurant offering "action station" seating. Recreational amenities feature an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and a fitness centre. A 646 square foot board room is available for small meetings. The Marriott International portfolio in Dubai currently consists of six properties representing its luxury JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton; upscale Renaissance, upper-moderately-priced; luxury Marriott Executive Apartments brand for extended-stay travelers and Courtyard by Marriott in the economy tier. In addition, 11 more Marriott International-flagged hotels are under development throughout the city. http://www.ameinfo.com/208986.html bizzybonita September 25th, 2009, 08:49 AM ^^ let's hope one of them goes for The Bay Central Tower (Hotel) :) |
