The crown is coming up slower than expected, or even seens like there is no progres at all since last updated?

I suspect that there are many things now going on inside the building that aren't apparent outside. The structure for the top of the building is different from that below, and the structural engineers probably needed to take further precise measurements once the structure reached the current level before going ahead with the steel fabrication for the 'Crown' levels.

Once it starts to go up, I am sure the top of the building will take shape very quickly.

personally i think this is the reason for the re design, that's why they scrapped the round balconies (e.g wider version)

^^ I love this one! The middle section looks very similar to the Torch, so it gives a good idea as to what TT will look like!

I think tower looks nice with protective cover, so deceiving when covers come of will be totally differrent colour.

^^ Yes, the entire building (the non-glass part) will be that same "salmon color".

actually i think the colour is a bit brighter than in Imre's last photos, it depends on the sunlight of course.

The dome on top have "christmass tree" kind of (white) lights. I think it would have been much better if the dome was blue neon lighted instead.

They didn't put on the lights on top that evening, so no picture.

^^ These towers seem too close. I was told by one developer that Emaar requirements were that there should be at least 20 meters between towers (excluding the podiums, of course). But these two towers, as I suppose many along Al Sufouh Rd when complete, seem a lot closer than that.

thinking of it.. this could, possibly, apply for all towers which are NOT located in the tallest block.. but these two are definetly 20m from each other, even though the perspective is slightly misleading, i would estimate about 15m.

Electricity was connected to the tower and it looked very cool with all the side decorative bar lights, the ball lights on the top.

is the crane still up?

Emirates are planning another hotel, on the opposite side of marina, across the road, adjacent to JLT...called Green Lakes.

green lakes is a set of three towers IN jlt...

^^ And those towers are being developed by SAM Real Estate that is owned by Sheikh Ahmed, Emirates' Chairman. ;)
