anyhow, SANGYAW FESTIVAL is considered as "the gathering of festivals from different places with different cultures and traditions" para na siyang ALIWAN at SINULOG FESTIVAL version ng EASTERN VISAYAS hindi siya pareho ng PINTADOS-KASADYAAN FESTIVAL na nagshowshowcase lang ng two concepts, a PINTADO (for PINTADOS FESTIVAL) and the gathering of Leyte's different Festivals (for KASADYAAN FESTIVAL) but the bottomline here is to praise/honour and to give thanks to Sr. Sto. Nino for an abundant graces we received...:okay:

hope its not that destructive... medyo maraming ulan kasi so there's the threat of the flashfloods and landslides..

well parang immune na ang tacloban sa mga bagyo, how many weather disturbances ba ang dumadaan sa region 8 area every year?
the buildings must have been built to withstand typhoons but sana banned na rin ang billboards around the city.

Budget airline Cebu Pacific (CEB), is scheduled to increase domestic flight frequencies along growth areas across the country on the last quarter of the year.

The airline is adding as much as 33-percent more seats to compensate for the arrival of three (3) brand new Airbus 320 set for delivery this year, all arriving in October.

Vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog said that with the flight increases, the airline will continue to dominate the industry by having the most flights to popular tourist destinations such as Boracay, Coron, Dumaguete and Cagayan de Oro.

Effective October 1, CEB will increase flight frequencies in the following routes: Manila-Butuan-Manila (2x to 3x daily);
Manila-General Santos-Manila (2x to 3x daily);
Manila-Tacloban-Manila (4x to 5x daily);
Manila-Davao-Manila (from 45x to 49x weekly)  

Effective October 7,
Manila-Davao-Manila (7x to 8x daily);
Manila-Dumaguete-Manila (2x to 3x daily);

Tagalog roaster eyes Visayan market

BALIWAG LECHON Manok, Inc. has planned an aggressive expansion in the Visayas where competitors in chicken roasting have long been established.

The food firm, whose first branch opened in Quezon City back in 1985, hopes to open five outlets in each Visayan province on top of a commissary that will serve the region, Sarabeth S. Salcedo, operations manager of Baliwag Lechon Manok, said in a telephone interview.

Ms. Salcedo said that “having a local [following] for chicken means there really is a market for chicken there.”

The company will have to elbow its way into provinces that already made popular dishes like chicken inasal and chicken binakol.

“We want to open more kiosks in the provinces where there is already a good chicken market and the brand name [is recognized],” she said.

“We are open to both franchise and company-owned stores. We hope we can open five outlets in each major province in the Visayas, a mix of kiosks and dine-in branches,” she said.

Ms. Salcedo said expansion will be aided by franchising. In September last year, the company opened its doors to franchising after 25 years of operations.

“We are planning to put up our own commissary for easier transportation for easier logistics and delivery,” she said.

To date, the company has 200 kiosks, 20 food court branches and 12 dine-in and grill restaurants, bulk of which are in Mega Manila.

To protect its existing market, Baliwag Lechon Manok will open five new stores each in major areas like Pampanga, Tarlac, Baguio and Pangasinan, Ms. Salcedo said.

“In Luzon, we are looking at five new stores per town, municipality or city,” Ms. Salcedo said.

Balyuan Park Grounds is ready for the fiesta month. The stage and stalls were already put up. The rides for the carnival are currently being set-up at the astro grounds.. Whew, walang tulugan na naman it mga taga-Tacloban, Leyte and Samaer, :lol: the roster of bands for the Parayawan is incredible.. :lol:
