^^just remember nothing is constant...don't boo think of what you can contribute to the city beyond the confine of cyberspace :)

^^ there is nothing to be ashamed of. Bear in mind that there are more than 60 cities in the VisMin area and being on the top15 for locally generated revenue is already a big feat. and those financial performance is just but one indicator and it does not totally present the whole picture.

nag brownout sa Tacloban from 6am-6pm nung November 5 para sa preventive amintenance ng NPC (at kanina naman yung dito sa amin [dorelco]).. yun lang yun.. wag mo kalimutan nasa Leyte tayo :D

sino meron ka kilala ng isang internet cafe owner dyan sa Tacloban... pwede makahinge ng contact# or YM or FB lang...
hinge lang sana ako ng info kung ano patakaran ng City about these kinds of establishments and if meron bang organization or something ang mga lanshop owners dyan...

kasi nung nag visit ako nung Aug-Sep... nasa 10/hr ang rates tapos madami pang promos... then kahapon lang nag 15/hr na lahat ng pinasokan ko...

The existing runway has a length of 7014 ft. It can still expand to at least 1500 ft, having a total of 8500 feet. The existing runway nevertheless can accommodate big airships and cargo planes. If the expansion will be realized, the runway itself is already qualified for an international standard airport. Terminal Building nalang ang kulang at advanced ATC. Naka LED na ata ngayon ang DZR. Sana HINDI NIYO BINOTO!

Aah.. one of my favorite airport. I'm awestruck by the site and location of the airport. The best and most exciting moment is when the aircraft is on its final approach of the runway. I think the peninsula make the airport stunningly beautiful and breathtaking. Hopefully it will become an International Airport. It has to be....Eastern Visayas has to have "ONE":cheers:

TACLOBAN CITY – “The city of Tacloban is happy to host the “Up with People” group of 100 students from 21 countries around the globe for a multi-continent tour. Some of them are already here, but their official activities will start on November 22,” revealed City Mayor Alfred Romualdez.

Among the lined-up activities included visitation to the Gawad Kalinga Designer Village in Barangay Cabalawan, join the local officials in their weekly “Barangayan”, tree planting, traffic management, conduct workshops in singing and dancing to our public school students among others. “They will have a one-night performance at the Tacloban Convention Center( Astrodome) on November 26,” Romualdez said.

The Kasikasi Art Association of Tacloban City, Leyte made its presence felt in the Manila art scene once again via two art exhibits in separate venues. “Hulag” opened at the Philamlife Building lobby at U.N. Ave., Ermita, Manila last November 4 and will run until the 18th while “Hang-aw 2” is ongoing at the Adamsons University Art Gallery along San Marcelino St., also in Ermita, from November 9 to December 10.

The Kasikasi art group exhibits regularly in Tacloban and has participated in shows in the Philippines and abroad as a group and individually. (Raul Agner)

TACLOBAN CITY- As testament of its claim as center of excellence in teacher education in the region, the Leyte Normal University (LNU) has again produced a 7th placer in the September 2011 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Malaquias Conde, LNU’s dean of college of education, told Leyte Samar Daily Express in a phone interview that they are proud of Dennis Villero Bondos who recently bested other professional teacher-aspirants in the country by grabbing the 7th place in the LET examination this year.

tapos yung Bacolod halos 500k na...

pero Tacloban only has 200k+...

^^ population doesn't really matter... what matters most is the productivity of the population and the level of happiness... Tacloban has a very low poverty incidence so even if population is only around 200k+ and local resource's is very poor, we can still sustain the growth and development of our city... :)

magkano ba ang go hotel charge per night? affordable ba talaga? ngaun meron ng mgandang hotel for an overnight stopover sa tacloban while in transit by plane.. sana dumami ng mga dumadaan sa tacloban..need na lng ang airport is upgrade na. long over due na talaga.

maupay e2n nga news nga mag oopen na go hotels ha tacloban, RPT is really expanding, and had a major effect in Tacloban... lets not expect that go hotels in tacloban is such a glamorous hotel.. kay bisan ngadi ha manila it go hotels only occupies 3 floors in Robinson Cybergate (Boni, Mandaluyong) and its too far from a five star hotel... At least tacloban is now getting bigger and bigger....
