again, Encon, it's because The Peak is positioned at the foreground, that's why it looks taller. BNI46 is more distant from the camera. I bet you any money that BNI46 is taller than the Peak.

Ini gedung ada di Gatot Subroto... Namanya gw lupa. Tapi yang gw inget ini dulu Gedungnya Lippo. Initial project harusnya gedungnya kembar, cuman dibangun 1 tower dulu.

I just know from kompas that the 'Selamat Datang' statue was designed by jakarta governor Henk Ngantung ('64-'65). He was poor and lived in a simple house on a small alley in jkt until he passed away....... (don't compare even with lurah today)

I don't think so. It's more likely The Ciputra hotel and mall complex, next to The Somerset apartment Mega Kuningan. It was abandon because of the economic crissis in 1997.

How about the picture of Station Kemayoran ?
I used to live right in front of that Station >>>> Jalan Statiun Kemayoran nomer 4, Jakarta.

And I used to live in Jalan Wolther Mongonsidi 10 (Kebayoran Baru), alo at Jalan Waringin nomer 32 (menteng) lest than 1/2 km from where Suharto home (Jalan Tanjung).

I really home sick now.
I hope one day I will be able to visit my old home town and see all my old friends again.
Even now I am an American, but I will never forget that my ROOT is an IDONESIAN, that is still in my blood.

Well, I see so many changes about my old home town JAKARTA, its really become a big metropolitan.....but the city still have the same big problem ....that is the SEWER SYSTEM......

Jakarta still have "THE OPEN SEWER SYSTEM" >>>> from the residential sewage go to the city sewer system...that go to the city canals, then go to rivers, and all of those raw sewages will end up in the TELUK TANJUNG PERIUK, PASAR IKAN and ANCOL.
I don't know if JAKARTA has THE SEWER PLANT or not ?
I just wonder how come they built that ANCOL PROJECT in the 60's , when all of those raw sewer ended up there ??????
