After visiting Fort Portal in 2006-2007 I can't forget that nicest place on earth.
Uganda and especially Fort Portal is in my heart forever.
Great nature and nice people.

I've been invited by them to drink tea during my visit.
I will never forget them, very nice people.

you sound so passionate about Africa. I wonder why everybody on the oasis feels that you are racist.

Thx Mintali. You are right, I'm realy passionate about Africa. I think that the reason why I always have trouble with people on the forum is because I'm passionate about what I call "the REAL Africa". The Africa of the small cities and villages, not the Africa of the rich Africans. I'm somebody who don't care about luxury and money, in that I'm different to most of people on this forum. The major reason why I like "the REAl Africa" is because those people are so great. Many of them have almost nothing but when you see them they have a big smile on their face. Rich people are angry for the whole day when they receive a bill of 20 Euro/Dollar while they have plenty of money at the bank. The reason why I like Uganda so much is because Ugandans are warm people who respect everybody. I always compare with Senegalese who are also nice people but don't leave you alone (when you are a white). When you pass the shop of a Senegalese (as a white) they will always come to you and try to get you in their shop. I understand that they want to sell but you get bored of it after a few days. I've never seen this in Uganda, I was completely free and nobody disturbed me. People just salute you in the street "hi Sir!" but don't disturb you. What I also liked in Uganda is that the police never stop you (as they do in a lot of other African countries for bribing). I've been driving 1 month in Uganda and have never been stopped. In Senegal my driver got controled 3 times over 80 kilometers and needed to pay each time. I hate corruption and bribing. And people also say that I'm racist because I want foreigners who come to Belgium to work, behave and not to abuse from the social system. I think thats normal. There is a lot of work in Belgium so there is no reason for anyone to sit on his lazy ass and to receive money for doing nothing. The social system is to open. In my opinion their should only be social help for people who worked at least some years and payed taxes. If you contributed by paying taxes you have the right to receive help. Just my opinion and I will never change it for anybody. My wife is an African, has no degree but had 2 jobs. So, if she can do it everybody can. And the truth must be said, we have a lot of violence problems with North Africans in Belgium and almost no problems with black and Asians. Why would I not say it, this are the facts. If you live in an other country than your country of birth, behave, integrate and respect the laws of your new country. Is it so strange to ask this? If I go to live in an African country I also have to follow the rules and will not receive any help. The problem is that many African only look for African friends and don't have white friends. My wife is no exception, 90% of her friends are Africans and most of them are people from her country. I don't understand this. If one day I live in Africa my friends will be blacks not whites. Why would I look after other Belgians?

Nice photos, typical African scenes of people hustling while at the same time appear to be happy.

The owners of that orange high building on the right are friends of mine who live here in Belgum. I slept in the house that is connected to that building for almost one month in 2006-2007. Its a hotel but I think its still not finished.
