TEHRAN/ IRAN - Vali Asr Street

Valiasr Street (Persian: ولی عصر ) is a tree-lined street in Tehran, Iran, dividing the metropolis into western and eastern parts. It is considered one of Tehran's main thoroughfares and commercial centres. Valiasr runs from the Tehran's railway station in the south of the city to the Tajrish square in the north.

Valiasr runs for 12 miles (19.3 kilometers), north to south, and is filled with traffic at all hours, even until the early hours of the morning. The shops stay open late and the kiosks sell fresh fruit juice, coffee and newspapers.

I should point out that all the main streets in Belfast are currently being more tastefully repaved, and fitted with modern street furniture. There is also a new development, which should add more to Royal Avenue, called Royal Exchange. Work should start on Royal Exchange soon. There are also plans to pedestrianise Donegal Square.

Its not a sewer dude, its healthy mountain water that keeps on streaming from the north to the south side of the city.

No, not at all, it's very clean and there are no bugs, mosquito etc and it looks quite nice and has such a nice sound and makes strolling on the street very peaceful.

Yes. It might be a very interesting and relaxing experience indeed. I never saw nothing like that. It's very common you find rivers or creeks running through streets all over the world, but water flowing along the sidewalks, like some spate, that's unique!! :) They are not dangerous ( for children, I mean...), not too deep? And how long is the distance of the flow?

^^ No they are not deep at all, maybe around 20 cm maximum depth..I don't know about the distance but they are all over the street from start to almost the end and the street is about 19 KM long..
