chaos83 June 17th, 2004, 04:04 AM Wow, the atmosphere of the pics feel quite exotic to me. Maybe because of the mosques. Surely, the mosque-like buildings surrounded by modern skyscrapers are quite a sight! The Quaid-e-Azam International Airport looks cool! :)
cntower June 17th, 2004, 12:03 PM Yeah the atmosphere is nice, but to tell you the truth 10 years of government neglect and massive corruption has left this city in a mess!!!
With Musharraf now in power, I think things will change for Karachi. He helped the metro project start up again and has helped with Karachi's Condo Boom. Lets see what else he can do!

Nice to hear that. Wish the best luck for Karachi. :cheers1:
cicarra June 18th, 2004, 05:08 AM is karachi very near to gweidar?
cntower June 18th, 2004, 01:03 PM Not even close; Karachi is near the Indus River which is in Eastern Pakistan not that far from the Indian Border and Gwadar is in Western Pakistan very close to the Iranian Border; both are costal cities though.

Suncity June 20th, 2004, 01:26 AM The aerial shots in the last set are pretty interesting. I don't know why professional (and amateur) photographers don't take nice aerial pictures / skyline pictures of South Asian cities. South Asians seem to be obssessed taking photographs of flowers, themselves and religious buildings.
Nice work.
cntower June 20th, 2004, 03:17 AM That's true; I get really mad. Karachi has a decent skyline but NOBODY takes any pictures of it! I've asked so many to do so yet they come back with pictures of gardens, traffic or them at McDonalds eating a McCurry! I'm planning to head down there sometime next month and take pictures myself! Spend a week there and just take snapshots of whatever I can!

Ex-Ithacan June 22nd, 2004, 01:52 PM I was in Karachi over 30 years ago. Seems to have changed quite a bit. I see all the housing developments and the new towers going up and wonder if this is the same city I visited. Then I see the "Krazy Karachi" pic and realize it is. Thanks for all the pics CN. :)

nithin July 11th, 2004, 01:26 AM woh nice pics!!! i like clifton beach.
i am curious about how quetta looks like, can you post some pictures of it in a other topic?
cntower July 11th, 2004, 03:08 AM Quetta; huum that's a problem. Haven't found much on Quetta; but I'll try if you want.
I could probably describe it; it's basically in a semi-desert location so the city is basically dusty most of the time. It's somewhat "built up", but I wouldn't compare them to the cities in the East portions of the country.
Give me some time I could probably find something...
ViMo July 11th, 2004, 03:13 PM How many of those Scania buses are on the roads in Pakistan? And, Where?
cntower July 12th, 2004, 02:52 PM Just Karachi bought the Scania busses for now. Lahore went for the Korean Daewoo Busses.
Cities like Hyderabad and Multan are deciding on what to persue; I think they too will go after the Scania's.

it is called city of lights. because no one sleeps, lol. and when you walk out on the streets at 1 am, its still packed with people and shops are all open, lol.
cntower July 13th, 2004, 02:13 PM I thought they had just made it up; it's actually the case. People are always out doing something; you should see cliffton beach just before midnight. There are probably just as more people there than during the afternoon.

BulldozerGirl August 6th, 2004, 10:37 PM Greats pics.
It seems there really is a place called Clifton Beach in Karachi. I frequently get strange Pakistani guys adding me to MSN for some reason, and one said he's a model (yeah right) from Clifton Beach. I thought such a place didn't exist because the name didn't sound right. I think I was also once invited to a wedding in the area.
Karachi seems like a beautiful city, but as you have said, it's kinda messed up, and I think there would be some problems with cleanliness and the water is salty, isn't it? Paris is also called the City of Lights.

BulldozerGirl August 25th, 2004, 12:36 AM I like the decorations some Pakistanis set up on their trucks/cars. And the "ma sha Allah" and "subhan Allah". It looks fun and colourful.
From the pics posted it looks like the roads are kinda lacking in proper traffic control. It's a bit messy and some cars look like they'll break down soon. What's Pakistan's GDP? And are there many Pakistanis living abroad who invest in the country?
BulldozerGirl August 25th, 2004, 12:38 AM I was once invited to a wedding of my friend in Karachi. It was in a place called the Marina club or something like that.. near sunset boulevard (I guess that was the name cuz I thought it sounded odd for a place in Pakistan). Can you post pics of this area?

Natural History Museum
Karachi Zoo has a good Natural Museum Indigenous as well as exotic stuffed animals belonging to different regions of the world have been exhibited in a very good manner. Visitors and science students can study morphological characters of animals from close quarter. Post graduate students can get more information on mammals, birds and reptiles through the technical officials. In 1991-1992 CDGK (former KMC) allocated funds for remodeling of Natural History Museum, which was carried out. Now, the Natural History Museum is being visited by students of secondary schools on regular basis for awareness in biodiversity. Apart from stuffed animals, skins, antlers, horns & feathers etc are also placed on display in the museum. In 1992 the Japanese Princess inaugurated the remodeled Natural History Museum. The rate of entry fee in the museum is Rs. 2/- and Rs. 1/- Per adult and children, respectively.

Tmac October 23rd, 2004, 07:50 PM I visited Karachi in 95. I don't remember Clifton Beach being this dirty. The place looks like a dump in those pictures. What happenned? Overall, I like Karachi very much. Keep the pics coming.
cntower October 23rd, 2004, 11:16 PM Those are horrible pictures (don't take it personally); the last time I was in Karachi (last summer) Clifton Beach was getting cleaned up but at a very slow rate; those construction companies sometimes dump all there trash onto the beach and then run. Only now has the city stepped in to stop it. Last summer it was much cleaner than in 2002, but there is still much more to be done!
pakboy October 23rd, 2004, 11:44 PM well during nawa shirf goverment, they didnt care about tourism and beaches they mad eit a dumpyard, since musharaf has come he made it get all cleaned up, and clifton beech is class now, very clean with golden sand. those pictures are around 10 years old.

:horse: So, they have a TATA Indica on Pakistani streets hun.. :)
kshatriya December 20th, 2004, 11:41 AM I don't think it's an Indica, you can vaguely even make out a boot. Looks similar and could be the Indigo, but too unclear to tell, and doubtful Tata cars will be on Pak roads....
huit December 20th, 2004, 12:37 PM ^ That's a locally-assembled Honda City '04 - I'm sure you have these in India aswell since you had the older model (I've seen some Indian sports celebs driving those on tv).

Yes I knew it was the Honda city. It has a pretty distinctive look eh, esp that wierd rump. :) But it's seeling so hot here, cause it succesfully answers Indian customer's first question - 'average kitna deta hai?' :D

kshatriya December 20th, 2004, 04:35 PM Cars in both countries have similar designs...just different names.
No names are not different. Only Suzuki here is called Maruti, otherwise everything including car names is exactly the same with Honda, Hyundai, Toyota etc. In fact, there are more differences in design now....
huit December 20th, 2004, 06:26 PM ^ Design's are same as far as exteriors/interiors are concerned. Though models available in the two countries vary with demand (and other unknown reasons). For example, in Pakistan Honda (Atlas) assembles Civic and City only while in India Honda (Siel) assembles Accord, City and CR-V. The cars are around 50-60K rupees cheaper in India as compared to Pak.

Yes I meant Indigo Kshtriya. I guessed that from the front grill...how similar cars look these days. In Europe and US, it's common to have basically the same car, being sold under different brand names. Cars are appliances nowadays! :)

Some cars have slightly different designs. The Hyundai Santro is sold in both countries with the same name and exact specifications, but the Indian one was recently facelifted, in-house. This update was carried over to other markets, but not to Pakistan for obvious reasons (yet, maybe it will with warming relations). Since India's R&D scene is looking up, further facelifts of small hatchbacks of other companies like Suzuki (who is also present in Pak) may also be done here. But then again, I also recently posted some news on Indian makers keen on Pak market, this may change things....And it appears cheaper in India I think because the INR value is a little greater vs PNR....plus maybe cheaper costs etc. Honda hasn't launched the Civic here yet because they straight away want to get the soon-to-be-launched latest model. Our markets are very similar otherwise, with very similar demand. Other factors are responsible for these quirks....:)

That pic is very unclear, but the city can still be distinctively identified. Both look very different...

Of course the Indigo pic is the station wagon version, but they look the same...with that wide smiling front grille, while the city's looks more edgy.

Tmac February 1st, 2005, 11:13 PM that satelite image of Qaide Azams tomb is just magnificant. I have been fortunate enough to visit that site and it was massive. I remember my feet were burning as I had to remove my shoes. It was the month of November yet very very hot. Very impressive!
JADI February 2nd, 2005, 12:23 AM Yes Gaddani is known for its shipbreaking industry and the picture above is of the second biggest ship ever built "Sea Giant" grounded on Gaddani beach waiting to be dismantled. Here is another picture of this ship:

mardan May 22nd, 2005, 05:51 AM from these pictures it doesn't look like its city of lights but looks like city of poverty, look at it (karachi) and comparing to other biggest population cities its nothing like it looks like that city is like old town like no standard being as fifth city in population, no developnments at all, its sad really sad
oogabooga May 22nd, 2005, 03:49 PM One has to accept, there is quite a bit of poverty in Karachi but the pictures that Jadi has posted are very old and bad pictures. Bad pictures can be taken anywhere, I could go in parts of New York and take pictures which will depict it as a poverty stricken, rundown city.
Perhaps you should base your opinion on the hundreds of other pictures posted here instead of the few bad ones.

I think Mohomed is right Karachi does lac highrises compared to its size. It lacs quality more than quantity. There are only 6 buildings which have more than 20 storeys. In term of Quality highrises Karachi stopped developing in the late 60's but its getting back to normal and many projects are in the pipe line. But I still think that after 5-6 years Islamabad will have the most attractive skyline in Pakistan.

Yes, u r also right, from the Nawaz Shariff govt. uptill now, Karachi build only 2 highrises MCB tower and Techno city because govt. won't gives much importance to Karachi. Let's see what the present govt. will do for Karachi after all Karachi pays more than 70% of the revenue.

A city that doesn't even exist will help even out a budget?, Karachi Port does most major Export/Import transactions in Pakistan and also has the largest number of educated pool for any industry and work pool. Karachi as a City is the Economic Giant of Pakistan. The city has had a Turbulent 2 decades which has lead to its demise. Unfortunately ethnic and sectarian rivalries have dessimated a city that was destined to modernity in the late 60's when Korean leaders would often visit Pakistan and especially karachi. The Irony of it all is Seoul a World Class Financial Center was modelled after Karachi.
UnitedPakistan June 14th, 2005, 12:04 AM I am not saying it will yet i am speaking of the future. And yes i am aware that Seoul's financial center was modelled after Karachi. By not allocating enough money for Karachi in the budget. u knew Hyderabad is 3rd largest city of Pakafter Lahore <any development's announced for Hyderabad?>
I agree that Karachi is by far the Economic Hub of Pakistan but the figure that you quoted is no way near the actual one. There is a difference between Collecting and Generating revenue. As far as the budget is concerned Karachi get the largest amount of money in budget, which is according to its population.
Its true that Pakistan's economy will suffer without Karachi but you can never say that Pakistan cant function without Karachi or any other part in Pakistan. On the other hand if we take Pakistan away from Karachi how much consumer market is left? How will you sell the products when the consumer market is reduced to tenth of its original size? I saw a programme on Business Plus in which they explained Collecting and generating revenue, they said that Karachi generates 22% of the total revenue. Which is much larger than any other city of Pakistan.
Karachi gets what it deserves (in terms of money, funds are allocated for projects like the monorail but their are internal problems of Land in Karachi which have prevented construction of projects like monorail).
So you can say that Karachi is the economic back bone of Pakistan but you cannot say that Karachi is Stuck in Pakistan and Karachi's economy is bigger than Pakistan's economy.
I dont know much about Hyderabad but I do know that its the sixth largest city of Pakistan. Faisalabad is 3rd and Rawalpindi is 4th Multan is 5th ( According to the 1998 census)
Hope June 16th, 2005, 04:12 PM I think Zee is getting his figures and statistics from Altaf Bhai......:)
If he believe Hyderabad is 3rd lagest city in the country then everyone know how creditable his information can be...Please always double check your figures before supplying i to others and it would be even nicer if you provide the source as well!
zees June 16th, 2005, 06:01 PM Well, Karachi generates over 70 or 60% revenue not 22% do search on Google
http://www.newsline.com.pk/NewsSep2003/editornotesep2003.htm
For your kind information our govt. do not design budget according to largest cities wise but according to Provincial wise out of which Sind state gets above 20%, Punjab state above 60% NWFP state above 15% and Balochistan state above 5% that's why i was saying Karachi did not gets what it deserved.
Uptill now only Karachi private sector is doing a lot not govt.
And Hyderabad is 3rd largest city of Pak not 6th just visit http://www.apnahyderabad.com/Hyderabad/history.asp
mardan June 16th, 2005, 06:11 PM The government is not paying enough attention to Sindh at all its just only Karachi which is being developed but rest of Sindh is just peice of mess in world. Like Hyderabad rather then developing it they are just destroying it and trying to devide it. Hyderabad should get more attention. and one more thing to ask from Zees is that where did you get these figures about that budget things.
and one more thing> thanks for letting me know of that railway thing i didnot know about it thanks.

And about being the 3rd largest you can go to a library and see the official 1998 census figures of Pakistan. It say Hyderabad is the 6th largest city of Pakistan with a population of 1.31mn.
Karachi is great but when you are praising it keep in mind that you are praising Karachi and not disgracing Pakistan. Like someone said "Karachi is the only true metropolis in Pakistan" this is not praising Karachi this is disgracing Pakistan.
I dont know why but some Karachiates are under the impression that Pakistan is a load on Karachi.
zees June 17th, 2005, 04:59 PM mardan, i read those figures when budget was announced in 'The News'
I had not said anything against any city i had said that Karachi pays more than 60% or 70% revenue so our govt. need to give more attention to Karachi.
And Tagga, ur just wasting my time 1st u had said Karachi generate 22% revenue which is false and now ur not ready to believe that Hyderabad is 3rd largest city.......OK....u do 1 thing Just search. And it is also true that Pakistan is a load on Karachi, today MMA is in power in Karachi because Karachi has many from NWFP state, today MQM is in power in Karachi because Karachi has many Indian refugees u knew y Karachi mass transit was cancelled or postponed because these people had illegally captured land. y u people forget that Karachi in 1950s was one of the most mordern cities of Asia.....cities like Kula Lumpur, Bangkok were following Karachi and now they're far a head than Karachi....so our govt. need to give more attention towards Karachi.(That's all i want 2 say)
danes June 17th, 2005, 05:48 PM Zees:
now you are being biased. Do you have a problem with the pakhtun brothers and mohajirs? Lets not forget that it was the mohajirs who came and built the city. Karachi is a business hub of the country because industries were set up in karachi when people migrated from india at the time of partition. MQM does not represent mohahirs, they think they do but they dont. Most people in karachi dislike MQM, that includes the mohajirs.
UnitedPakistan June 17th, 2005, 06:47 PM MQM is a load of shit

Yes, i had problems with those who had captured land illegaly.
danes June 17th, 2005, 09:41 PM well you have a racist attitude. You shouldnt single out mohajirs and pakhtoons.
zees June 17th, 2005, 09:52 PM Danes, i had'nt taken names of Mohajirs and Pakhtoons both i had only taken names of parties.
and yes i had problems with ''those'' who captured land illegaly , making walls dirty with slogan ''apna quaid sirf altaf'' everywhere even they wrote this on monuments and dont forget altaf's old slogan ''sona becho hathyar karhido''
Tagga June 19th, 2005, 09:24 PM Karachi pays more than 60% or 70% revenue so our govt. need to give more attention to Karachi.

1998 Census (http://www.statpak.gov.pk/depts/pco/statistics/pop_major_cities/pop_major_cities.html)
Have you heard any Indian say that India is a load on Mumbai?
OK here is a question, just "DREAM" that the year is 2025 and Karachi was given Independence from Pakistan in 2005, What do you see in Karachi and Gwadar.
Sultan June 19th, 2005, 11:01 PM Zees,
Why don't you leave Pakistan and our beautiful city of Karachi then ? Your a load on our Gov.
UnitedPakistan June 19th, 2005, 11:42 PM When will the madness end!
Can we all stop this?
mardan June 20th, 2005, 04:35 AM we Pakistanis never negotiate and only fight rather then try to solve problems, thats sick. Think good, good will happen to you and every one else.
zees June 20th, 2005, 08:19 AM Sultan, im not a load on any1, coz i pay all taxes ,work honestly and even do alot of charity.
And y some of u guys think im wrong or i start fighting i had only said Karachi pays more than 60 or 70% revenue so our govt need to give more attention to Karachi that's all i had said
most forumers disagrees with this so i said do search and let me know that im wrong.
Than i take an example of Hyderabad which is the 3rd largest city, few of u still not ready to believe that it's a 3rd largest city
http://travel.web.pk/destinations/cities/hyderabad.asp
http://www.kjti.co.uk/hyderabad.htm
http://www.journeymart.com/DExplorer/AsiaIS/Pakistan/Hyderabad/default.asp
Tagga, now u had provided us a link before that u had not provided any link to prove your point
And, Finally i pont out 3 major problems of Karachi
1)Govt. negligence 2)MQM 3)MMA
zees June 20th, 2005, 08:28 AM And i knew that im not wrong so i will stick to my point until someone proves.
Tagga June 20th, 2005, 09:07 AM 1998 Census results by Government of Pakistan (http://www.statpak.gov.pk/depts/pco/statistics/pop_major_cities/pop_major_cities.html)
These values are official.
I think there is no need to argue with you, you seem to be one of the few people who still feel offended by Islamabad being the capital of Pakistan and who donot accept that Lahore is culturally more active. Economy isnt everything you know.
Marshal June 20th, 2005, 09:16 AM ^ When did Islamabad get into the discussion???
I don't understand why the paindoos of lahore have such hatred towards Karachi?? :dunno:
Get a life you  !!
:sleepy:
zees June 20th, 2005, 10:29 AM Exactly marshal, When did i take Islamabad or Lahore into discussion?
UnitedPakistan June 20th, 2005, 01:26 PM ^ When did Islamabad get into the discussion???

ohh great city vs city violence now :bash:
Lahore Lahore Hai!
Gumnaam June 20th, 2005, 06:11 PM ^ When did Islamabad get into the discussion???
I don't understand why the paindoos of lahore have such hatred towards Karachi?? :dunno:
Get a life you  !!
:sleepy:
Where did you get the impression that paindoos of Lahore hate Karachi, there is no such thing, from my personal experience I can tell you that every single Lahori I talked to or met, always admire the beauty and greatness of karachi, talk to paindoos of Lahore about Karachi, the first sentence they say "ooye ooh tay saday Quaid daa city aay, Karachi balla balla", but a few exceptions are always there.
Now everyone, please end this stupidity. Both are great cities of Pakistan so no city vs city here. :D
mardan June 20th, 2005, 06:28 PM Well i think Zees is right in one way because Sindh Province is not given as much as it deservs but we should leave it behind so no one is offended or hurt by it. Because there is no point of fighting over some s*it which is worthless.
faisal_karachi June 20th, 2005, 08:35 PM today MQM is in power in Karachi because Karachi has many Indian refugees u knew y Karachi mass transit was cancelled or postponed because these people had illegally captured land.
Its sad to see people calling us Indian refugees today . Arent we as pakistanis as you ?
faisal_karachi June 20th, 2005, 08:42 PM :jk: ohh great city vs city violence now :bash:
Lahore Lahore Hai!
keep your punjabiyat for yourself
CJ June 20th, 2005, 09:29 PM hi guyz, this is my first time in a pakistani thread and i must say that i you guyz r doing a good job... got some great pics in ur thread. i am originally for new delhi, india and this is the first time that i have gotten to see a pakistani city... i must say that ur cities look a lot like ours with virtually no difference, except the high number of mosques. anyways keep up the good work guyz.
Tagga June 20th, 2005, 10:20 PM Exactly marshal, When did i take Islamabad or Lahore into discussion?
I only said that you seem to be one of them, and you know it yourself that you do think that way.
And Marshal your posts show your hatred towards Lahore. Grow up and have respect for others.
So according to you talking about facts is Hating Karachi.
zees June 21st, 2005, 06:27 AM Faisal, many here taken my point negatively, i had said earlier that i blame parties not people, and I blame those people who voted them just because they belong to that community.
Nobody had taken Lahore or Islamabad into discussion except Tagga, I received PM from many guys, they told me 2 stop writing, but guys y do i, if i knew im not wrong i will request u to go2 page 3 and start reading u will find Tagga taken Lahore into discussion and whenever i try to end Tagga restart the thread. I had only said Karachi pays more than 60 or 70% revenue, Tagga says no only 20%.........so Tagga, first provide us link to prove your point. One more thing u had said 1st that most Karachites are in impression that Pakistan is a load on Karachi than i had said realistic it is true.
mardan June 21st, 2005, 05:34 PM I think Zees is right, Tagga you should provide us with a link which will prove your point, if you can not then SHUTUP. Because everytime i open this threat someone is fighting with someone else, that's why i think international people are right "It's not city of Lights, but it is a city of voilence" because you people are fighting all the time.
Tagga June 21st, 2005, 08:56 PM Tagga you should provide us with a link ."It's not city of Lights, but it is a city of voilence" because you people are fighting all the time.
Has he proved it? Altaf is not a credible person and we all know it.
OK does this promote Karachi "oh! Karachi doest get as much as it deserves  ". Its ZEES who is having problems facing the facts. According to its size Karachi seriously lacks highrises doesnt it, its a fact, No matter what the reason behind it but ZEES will go like "70% revenue....IGNORANCE bla! bla! bla!" and you expect me to keep quiet when he says "Pakistan is a load on Karachi" doesnt this sentence offend the others, He is saying Pakistan is a load on Karachi and you are telling me to shut up cant he face the fact. He is comparing unofficial results from census results by Government of Pakistan and you are telling me to shut up.
And about the 70% thing, where ever the Pakistani economy is discussed People always say that its an Agriculture economy. Are there any farms in Cities?
You think that you are promoting Pakistan by saying that Pakistan is a load on Karachi and that Karachi earns 700bn of the 900bn revenue? It does earn alot much more than any other city of Pakistan but who buys all the products that are produced in the Factories, its the 150mn people, its a collective effort.
Like I said before when you are Praising your city Keep in mind that you are not disgracing your country.
danes June 22nd, 2005, 06:45 AM Ok guys we need to put an end to this. Instead of competing with foreign cities, we are competing against each other. This is one of the reasons why our country is so behind. We are always fighting with each other. Lets do ourselves a favor and end this. I apologize for being pro-karachi in my earlier posts, didnt mean to offend anyone. I was just being defensive of my city. Lets overcome are petty differences and appreciate every city in the country.
Rkhan June 22nd, 2005, 09:45 AM I couldnt help but post in this thread.
1. Karachi is the biggest city of Pakistan with a population of over 14 million. According to that Karachi IS the BUSINESS HUB of Pakistan. Every country has a business Hub and its economy revolves around it. So Karachi is for pakistan what NewYork is for the US. But sadly, Karachi hasnt been turned into a city like Seoul let alone NY. If karachi generates around 60% of paksitans economy then i am not really surprised because i do not see any other city in pakistan being so powerful financially even after its image being tarnished by the western media.
2. Yes, back until the 60's kARachi WAS the most important city of pakistan and also the CAPITAL of pAkistan, AND ONE of the most modern cities in ASIA. BUt since the givernment decided to shift the capital to Islamabad, the government stopped paying attention to Karachi to a certain extent.
3. There was a business slump in karachi since mid 80's to the lat 90's due to a lot fo reason. mOSTLY being that of Political problems and MQM. Mohajirs supported MQM INITIALLY because they trusted them. But now only a handful of altaf tattos follow him. Please do not forget that MQM is now divided. Mohajirs have no respect for the lieks of Altaf.
4. Karachi suffered a lot in the 90's when MQM was at its peak and then when Nawaz Sahrif came into power. No offence to my fellow Lahories, but i guess you will have to agree on the fact that a lot of funding went into the modernization of lahore by the nawaz government. Which IS GOOD! I love what they've done to lahore. Infact i say that the only GOOD THING that the nawaz government did was to put lahore on the upscale. But they completely ignored karachi as a hub.
5. I fail to agree with people calling karachi a city of violence! Buddy, if karachi is a city of violence then cities like NY and Chicago with far less poverty and population are the HEADQUARTERS of violence! But i'm nto here to say which city is more violent or not. I'm just giving out my point of view.
6. Please do not compare karachi to lahore or islamabad. Islamabad is a very new city and it makes us pakistanis proud to see a city like islamabad so clean and up to the international standards while LAHORE has the roots of our culture and is a major tourist point. So please stop the Lahore Lahore Aee and "Lahore is better than karachi" or "karachi is better than lahore" statements!
7. About Pakistan being a load on KARACHI? Dude thats got to be the most pathetic and un-patriotic comment ever. Karachi is a part of pakistan and lets not forget that karachi is for pakistan.
8. None of my lahorie friends have a disliking towards karachi. Lets remember the fact that Lahorie people take a heart in their city. They feel very produ of their city and at times they DO exaggerate the goodness of lahore but they do not take anyting against karachi. anyone who has been out of lahore to karachi has loved it most of the time. People from Lahore fly out to Karachi for parties and all etc. (While karachiites fly out to dubai for party nwo ad ays lol)
9. NOW PLEASE STOP THIS ARGUEMENT AND LIVE IN PEACE. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY WE HAVE TO FIGHT LIKE THIS. IF HYDERABAD is the 6ht or the 3rd biggest CITY OF PAKISTAN THEN LET IT BE.
Like DANES said, we need to STOP FIGHTING AND LOOK FOR THE BETTERMENT OF OUR CITIES AND COUTNRIES!
P.s: If anyones offended by my comments, i apologise for that and please do let me know. Thank you.
Tagga June 22nd, 2005, 01:00 PM Thankyou RKHAN, now that was praising karachi without disgracing Pakistan. Thanks for bringing sanity to this thread.
