JRQ June 16th, 2004, 04:35 AM Not bad at all for its size. 8.5/10
kota16 June 16th, 2004, 04:41 AM The population for Darwin is currently 98,000 and with satellite Palmerston is another 22,000 so in all around 120,000. Many of these pics are outdated, and the city has a growing list of new buildings and hotels.Since the completion of the north/south railway from Adelaide and new rail service for passenger and freight, the city is known as 'Gateway to Asia' and 'The Ghan' train puts an extra 40,000 tourists a year into Darwin.
Blend June 16th, 2004, 04:41 AM 6/10 (its fairly good for its popiulation)
waiting to see the waterfront redevelopment...

4.5/10
SoboleuS June 17th, 2004, 01:30 AM The skyline is very, very small but the town looks nice 4.5/10
CLOUDscraper June 17th, 2004, 05:11 AM YES - A VERY small skyline, but it has a lot of potential, there are no buildings of historical importance so skyscrapers are very welcome.
At the moment though, I do not think it should really get it's own thread in here, but I'll give it a 4.
skylover June 17th, 2004, 08:36 AM Darwin has a decent skyline for its size.
6/10
Orfeo June 20th, 2004, 08:45 AM 6/10
Mahaputra June 20th, 2004, 09:05 AM I reckon the skyline is nice for the population..

mauiboy63sea July 15th, 2004, 06:43 AM A 4 for darwin. It's a small town with not many mid-sized buildings. But I'm sure its a nice place to visit.
Fabio January 26th, 2005, 01:40 AM 6/10
nice for its size
nikko January 26th, 2005, 12:13 PM 6 for now. But 7 when evolution finishes. Decent skyline for what the city is.
Malt January 26th, 2005, 12:21 PM i dont mean to be rude but thats ridiculous.
Darwin is not a 6. And it wont be even iwth evolution. it will be like 4.
People on these forums are far to nice about it.
It leaves cities with far greater differences in skyline quality being so close together.
Many people rate Brisbane as about an 8. Your '7' would put it just below Brisbane (and countless other bigger cities)
lol.
mic January 27th, 2005, 05:41 AM at max a 3
BHK25 January 27th, 2005, 03:46 PM I'm not a fan of small skylines but I guess for its size its ok especially if that new 99m tower gets built. 5.0
MattSal June 2nd, 2005, 05:29 PM Not bad, not bad at all. I give it a 6.5/10.

goschio November 20th, 2005, 05:15 AM Darwin will become a major hub in the next decades with lots of skyscrapers and huge infrastructure projects. Just be patient.

matthewcs January 26th, 2006, 10:08 PM It's nice enough, but the waterfront there is beutiful, especailly around Nightcliff (I know that means nothing to most ppl). If I where richer, I'd buy a house on the water there.

2.5 is a bit harsh what are you comparing it against HK or NYC
Cristovão471 May 25th, 2007, 09:55 AM isn't it more like 115,000?
Brisbaner21 July 25th, 2007, 02:28 AM ^Darwin has about 111,000. Its skyline is ok, i give it a 5, but give it time. In the years to come it will look much better.

When Darwin starts getting more and more taller residential buildings and makes the skyline look taller and denser... I'll be more impressed, but good on them for making good changes in the last few years!!!
