Population : (2004) 339,847

Doha (Arabic: الدوحة, transliteration: Ad-Dawḥah or Ad-Dōḥah) is the capital city of Qatar. With a population of 400,051 according to the 2005 census,[citation needed] it is located in the Ad Dawhah municipality on the Persian Gulf (25.3° N 51.5333° E). Doha is Qatar's largest city, with over 80% of the nation's population residing in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and is the economic center of the country. Doha is home to the Education City, an area devoted to research and education.

I had the pleasure this week of traveling for a second time to Doha. Trust me people, there is more cranes up and moving in West Bay than I could count. Qatar, pronounced (kut-ter), is building a world class city.

I gave it a 9 - Qatar has a beautiful skyline that has blossomed in a remarkably short period of time - only a few years ago I read in a travel book that Qatar's capital was one of the most boring and dull places on earth - with a booming economy, an exploding skyline and al Jazeera, I think it is fair to say that is no longer the case !

Just two years ago the skyline boom started.

For the population and relative small size of Qatar...9/10.

It has plenty of time to develop more, but it is already one of the best Skylines of the Middle East.

That's the good thing with no financial constraint and freeway of urban planning since they are late comers to developed unlike those earlier jampacked cities wherein consideration of existing for future development need take much attention and cost wise.

Doha convention centre tower is the going-to-be tallest... It is already approved at 105 floors, but we still don't have info about the exact height...

they're not Qataris, however, those workers are unlike Dubai's, they get paid each month. ( they have human rights)

In opinion when I see more more and more pictures of Qatar It make me feel like the city is look more and more like Dubai

In the Qatar sub forum, we found 6 towers above 450m.

The skyscrapers are relatively short but they create a beautiful skyline together.
