I was just wondering how you guys think the Jordanian economy would be in 50 years?

From what i see know it looks like the 50 years from know the economy should be extraordinary. 50 years from know we should be completely energy dependent even exporting energy. The tourism sector is also looking better and better every year even in the 2009 with the world economic crises the tourism sector has grown significantly. Also the real estate sector is looking better than ever with projects opening all over Jordan that are worth billions and billions of dollars. also the IT and the education sector is looking great it is growing at an unbelievable rate. Also a great new and promising sector has opened in Jordan the defense sector KADDB is a great new company that is growing very rapidly with sales to over 30 countries. Also the health sector is great we are by far the best in the region and are up there in the world also. I think if it all gose as plane the Jordanian economy should be in the sky 50 years from know. What do you say?

I agree. Jordan would be even richer than the gulf. Dont forget the oil shale and uranium. But lets hope if our country is political and economical stable for the next 50 years, especially if Palestinian state is created because if its not going to happen? God knows what will happen to our beloved nation. Sorry if I am a bit rude but thats the fact.

you are right but if i dose not it would not be mush different than know. are you suggesting that Jordan would be taken over. because if you read the history and look at the military powers i dont think any nation around us could take us over. the only nation that would actually have the potential is Israeli. but i still think that our military is very will capable of holing them back. dont under estimate the power of the Jordanian military. it is a very will trained will deseplend and will equipped military. with a great history.

Indeed, the jordanian army are really strong, I know that in the future jordan will be stronger. About the economy, I believe in the future if our oil shale is already comercially produced. Jordan will completely be difference, in a good way ofcourse. For example richer because of oil shale and more powerful because of uranium. And it will 100% put jordan on the map.

the last arm deal we had is no the point. the only military around us that is more equipped than us is Israeli. and i completely dout that they can run throu our army. mybe the sudi's are more equipped to but they ask for our help we train them remmember the crises they had at the yemen border both the sudi and the yemen army could not take them they asked for the help of the jordanian sepeical forces we sent down 2000 soldiers the war was over in a matter of days. no one around us can take us and i know that for a fact.

It's good to be optimistic:).

Unfortunately the world is changing and more super powers are appearing on the world stage(the worst are around us). Our only REAL hope is in a unified Arab world. Other than that we are just being understandably proud.

The Jordanian army before in 70's is much different then right now. Currently we have F-16, our own KADDB manufacturer, and ofcourse ARAB most fearful intelligent, GID..... The CIA even said it themselves. Before during Saddam, Iraq was far more superior but now they are nothing but a fallen ashes. Dont compare the jordanian army in 1970 to now because we are more powerful this time or in the matter of fact we are getting stronger. Look at our country, we are the oasis of peace and stability. Thats all already a proof on how good and strong are the jordanian army and security is. To be honest I am so proud that we have a brave army like jordan. JORDAN FIRST.:::rock::gunz::gunz:

Jordan has some unbelievable potential, especially with what is shaping up to be an excellent university system. Also, I think that Jordan probably has the most 'enlightened' leaders in MENA (I am sure it must be different actually living inside Jordan). I once had the privilege of listening to a speech (not inside Israel) from one of the members of Jordan's royal family and I really came away very impressed with this person and their ideas.

But a big challenge that I see facing Jordan is its lack of access to drinking water and also its rapid population growth.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate your information. Lets hope we can live in peace someday, the REAL PEACE i mean.:):)

If we remained stable in the next 40 years. then in my opinion, were already a rich country. I will give you a reason, first we will already have oil shale which will make us independent from oil, second is uranium which will make us the only nuclear country in the middle east that have this kind of resources and ofcourse everybody will buy from us(the uranium because nuclear plant will be nothing without uranium), third we will be ICT superpower like India (most of the success company in the middleeast like Maktoob, Rubicon and other ITs company are all from jordan) and we will be one of the world largest exporter in Pharmaceutical and the last but not least our city AMMAN will be one of the best and most liveable city in the world because right there are masterplan for the city and some of them are already under construction( like ABDALI, WADI AMMAN, BRT and other stuff), with all this plan WE ARE ALREADY A FIRST WORLD NATION. But ofcourse i am dreaming:lol::lol:, but I hope this will happen someday that will make all of us proud. NOW THATS WHAT WILL JORDAN BE LIKE IN 2050
