Any pics? Alvin June 18th, 2004, 01:46 AM I'm not sure but is that the BDNI Center? last time i went there it was still abandoned. ryanr June 18th, 2004, 04:36 AM Yeah, he is talking about BDNI Center. Well, that construction is now cancelled. So right now, it is an abandoned site. David-80 June 18th, 2004, 05:39 AM not cancelled, but delayed, last time i heard from my friend at tan kian, they awaiting tender for the building. I remember alvin posted an article that BDNI centre is going to resume. cheers Mahaputra June 18th, 2004, 05:48 AM yeah it's BDNI center.. it's delayed isnt it? hopefully it's not cancelled.. I love the design of the buildnig.. it'll be thelandmark of Jakarta ryanr June 18th, 2004, 06:21 AM not cancelled, but delayed, last time i heard from my friend at tan kian, they awaiting tender for the building. I remember alvin posted an article that BDNI centre is going to resume. cheers but im afraid they would have to either retrofit the existing structure or start all over again, because it has already deteriorated. It wouldnt be safe if they continue on with the neglected structure. David-80 June 18th, 2004, 06:23 AM Yeap I agreed with you, better they just demolish all the structure and restart it again. cheers Alvin June 18th, 2004, 06:39 AM not cancelled, but delayed, last time i heard from my friend at tan kian, they awaiting tender for the building. I remember alvin posted an article that BDNI centre is going to resume. cheers I really hope they will build both towers, not just 1. (and if one, I hope it is the taller one). I don't see why any investor can not afford to build both of them if they have enuff money to build one, considering how much more lucrative it would be in terms of future returns if both are built. I love the design of the buildnig.. it'll be thelandmark of Jakarta Yeah I love the design too, my only concern is that it looks like a copycat of BoC in Hongkong...rather unoriginal. But still looks great nevertheless :okay: Mahaputra June 18th, 2004, 06:40 AM I really hope they will build both towers, not just 1. (and if one, I hope it is the taller one). L.M.Pei so it's not a copycat.. ehehe SeeMacau June 18th, 2004, 09:07 AM There's one very similar design building in Chongqing which looks like the BOC in Hong Kong too . But that building is very short. I remember I saw someone post a thread about it before tata June 18th, 2004, 09:19 AM this is exactly the building I'm talking about. Was a bit unsure about the name since BDNI no more exists. Yet I disagree if it's called a copycat. If I'm not mistaken the designer of the original one in HK is the same did this one in JKT. So it's rather 'sister' construction... Mahaputra June 18th, 2004, 12:17 PM yup.. that's what I said at the top.. same architect as the BoC in HK.. L.M.Pei heeh and about the same building.. I'm not sure about chongqing, but I know there's a building that looks exactly the same as the smaller tower in the BDNI center design in Tianjin.. Mahaputra June 18th, 2004, 12:25 PM here it is..it's in Tianjin, dunno what the building is called http://forum.xinhuanet.com/transfile?id=0077479B.002C http://www.lera.com/s/bdni1.jpg look at that.. exactly the same.. this is the thread http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=108298 SeeMacau June 18th, 2004, 01:18 PM icic .. but i've see another one which looks similar design to this too .. That one is only around 10 story height !! :D :D tata June 19th, 2004, 06:41 PM early '96 there was a construction behind Chase Manhattan building (Setiabudi). have no idea the name but is it resumed now? Alvin June 20th, 2004, 05:21 AM Don't know, but there will soon be two apartments in setiabudi - The Peak (4 towers) and The Icon (2 towers) tata June 20th, 2004, 01:01 PM yea I think this is what I mean. This is from Duta Anggada, Chase Plaza owners. I actually have pics/rendering of it, but can't post it yet > I cut n pasted it into a word doc, and can't upload it via imageshack or photobucket. You can also check out the rendering at www.dutaanggada.com ciao, dian passion4architecture August 24th, 2004, 10:43 AM SORRY, INCORRECT WEBSITE for Duta Anggada Realty: http://www.dar.co.id/ PLAZA GALLERIA Jakarta, Mixed-Use Development [60-story Office Tower, 4 story High-End Shopping Mall, 20-story Luxury Hotel, and 20-story Serviced Apartments]. Right behind Chase Plaza. Doesn't look like they're going to resume construction. Simply look at the company's website, and u'll know why. Website looks absolutely shoddy, no updates, pics of past projects are just "pasted" on haphazardly. ciao, dian tata August 25th, 2004, 04:40 PM passion, thanks for your update. I used to live (kos-kosan) in Setia Budi in '96 and always Chase Plaza extention project. Too bad we're hit so bad by '97 crisis that many project halted. Wish new government can bring more stability and confidence back to the country ;) Ojak December 13th, 2005, 07:08 AM Any of you have updates? |
