james2390 June 19th, 2004, 11:21 PM Great towers! They really soar and are slim. I also like the color and roof decorations. 9/10
AtlanticaC5 June 19th, 2004, 11:32 PM 7/10 They look much taller than 200-250 m on the pics, but the architecture is nothing special, ordinary residential-buildings.
7 World Trade June 20th, 2004, 03:21 AM i really like how it's shiny, but the facade color make them look rather dull when you are closer to the buildings. i prefer the harborside over them.

kind of weird to look at...
RafflesCity June 22nd, 2004, 03:04 AM 7/10
I like how slim and soaring they are. Thats very impressive but other than that a little dull.
Icanseeformiles June 22nd, 2004, 06:56 AM Very ugly, very ugly indeed. Utterly devoid of any "style". A wasted opportunity.
TYW June 22nd, 2004, 11:45 AM very tall and slim. design quite interesting as well;)
7.5/10
Québec June 23rd, 2004, 09:23 PM briliant, I love it
does anyone have a picture of a montreal skyscraper?
michal1982 June 23rd, 2004, 10:17 PM cooool!!!! thanks!
Liz L June 25th, 2004, 12:17 AM 7/10 - they're slim and have enough height to soar nicely, the indentations make the facade livelier, and I appreciate the decoration on the roofs. BUT...
Those "cornices" might be more harmonious if they were symmetrical and attached to each other, and the facades need something - more contrast in the colors, maybe - to make them stand out more, because as they are they're rather bland....
Nick in Atlanta June 25th, 2004, 03:44 AM They are beautiful in their uniformity and repetitiveness. Much like the rest of Hong Kong's satellite cities.
hongkiu June 25th, 2004, 03:18 PM Common Hong Kong Style residential tower... 6.5/10
BVV2 June 25th, 2004, 08:03 PM Gave it a 7, It looks like miami on steriods.
airsickpenthousedweller June 25th, 2004, 08:47 PM I think that to many visitors, they bring up the same awe that you have when looking at a giant rollercoaster/ferriswheel, to the extent that you ask yourself: "Do I really want to go in there...?"
Besides that, they look too typical like HK residentials, although this time with a quite successfull colour-scheme, IMO.
7/10
The Messiah July 5th, 2004, 09:22 PM Well,that is very tall! :) Ehm...yeah a nice tower.7.5/10
TheAlmightyFuzz July 5th, 2004, 09:25 PM They look very good for residential towers and there's so many of them too....a 9
Justadude July 15th, 2004, 06:28 AM Too tall to be so slender, it reminds me of an awkwardly-tall adolescent. And the surface looks too cluttered... a smoother appearance would have been much more graceful.
They're a little reminiscent of a kid who tries to stack as many Legos as possible without it falling over... 6/10.

Chibcha2k July 22nd, 2004, 01:49 AM it looks like if they're built in a very depressed neighbourhood... they look weird :sly: but anyway they are graceful IMO 8/10
LeCom July 22nd, 2004, 04:30 AM How come all of these are considered one building here?
LeCom July 22nd, 2004, 04:32 AM http://img27.photobucket.com/albums/v81/asiaglobe/hongkong/kowloon02.jpg
I love that big bunch o' boxes in the front.
RafflesCity July 22nd, 2004, 10:38 PM We decided to treat them all as 1 entity as their designs are basically the same and they are part of a development. Just like having a single thread for the Emirates twin towers instead of 2 separate ones.
MCC July 22nd, 2004, 10:45 PM 6/10, I think they look better from far away like in hk's picture.
pon July 24th, 2004, 11:53 AM I gave it 10!!
I also like this kind of highrise.
Þróndeimr July 24th, 2004, 12:08 PM 6/10, im not a great fan of those, the structure is good, but the facade looks terrible, but the area around will become nice when they complete whole Union Square.
yoyo22 July 28th, 2004, 12:12 AM 5/10
Average Buildings. Somewhat graceful and tall. Must be nice to live in but the colors not great, and the facade is odd and not all that pleasing, all told. But they are residential towers, so they can never look greaet (big windows with many colored curtains, high wall to floor areas, etc). Still its amazing how in any other city these would just dominant the skyline, here they are barely noticeable.
DamienK July 29th, 2004, 01:55 PM Typical high rise, with a few decorations. 6.5/10
el pato August 6th, 2004, 07:36 AM may be a typical design but I like how each building gets taller. It'd be pretty neat to drive by from a distance.
Sher August 9th, 2004, 08:17 AM From a distance:
http://www.pbase.com/image/32351240.jpg
I gave a 8.5, it's really a cool looking complex.
Rapid August 15th, 2004, 04:50 AM Quite an intimidating design. Imagine standing at the bottom looking up!
Though the facade isnt perfect, the design is, because it makes it look tall.
http://skyscraperpage.com/gallery/data/500/550048b.jpg
digili_man August 15th, 2004, 05:02 AM Looks like any other condo, but I like this one. It's tall & rather slim--------------8
Phobos August 15th, 2004, 05:25 AM the top is nice, the facade is ok,the colors are bad.
the only impressive thing is the impact it has in the skyline.
7.0/10
Dubai-Lover August 27th, 2004, 09:32 PM boring + dull! 4
David3820 August 27th, 2004, 10:58 PM I don't like it. Doesn't look special to me at all. 3/10
cursiveletter September 6th, 2004, 12:22 AM for some reason they sorta look depressing...maybe its because they look really old or something...5/10
AcesHigh September 9th, 2004, 03:28 AM very tall... but thats the only thing. Its UGLY. I dont like the colors also.
AcesHigh September 9th, 2004, 03:32 AM Are they made for rich people or poor people? I mean... how much does the condominium cust for a lot of high speed elevators to take people to the 75th floor?? Unless they have few elevators... but then it must take an eternity to get to your floor.
Imperial September 15th, 2004, 04:43 PM 5/10
Monkey September 15th, 2004, 11:20 PM 8/10
These are interesting purely because of their height ... so many floors it's incredible. The buildings themselves are quite "yucky" in colour and overall appearance, but they REALLY soar. :)
Zuelas October 14th, 2004, 08:19 PM 6.5
Nice soaring height but the facade and colors do not appeal to me at all. Plus they're gonna be in proximity to US7 but doesn't look as tho they will be very complimentary. Great views I'm sure but not much else goin for it.
Hed Kandi November 13th, 2004, 12:25 AM height great but they could have madr a better design of the outside
andysimo123 November 14th, 2004, 11:32 PM 6/10
TritaniumZ3 December 7th, 2004, 04:10 AM Looks cool but shitty facade.lol.

hkskyline January 19th, 2005, 06:57 PM In this photo, the Sorrento towers are the brown buildings behind the white and green Harbourside. You can see the 2 tallest ones in full. Photo by GUIA.

B@dGuYoM January 19th, 2005, 07:08 PM 7/10 look like a 100 storeys building
scorpion January 20th, 2005, 09:04 AM subtle genius, but perhaps too subtle, but given its US7 and Harbourside neighbors, just right on!
...8...
:)
SkyHawk January 20th, 2005, 04:16 PM 4/10
miptag February 6th, 2005, 12:26 AM 6/10 i like the height but the color is not so great
MattSal March 18th, 2005, 05:02 AM Elegant and unique, but overall ugly. I gotta give this one below 3, sorry. :(
Medo April 8th, 2005, 02:51 PM Nice trio, 8
get13 April 10th, 2005, 03:35 PM Very unusual, kinda ugly though. 6/10
Winus April 12th, 2005, 01:24 PM < 3
Pengui April 20th, 2005, 06:37 AM Is this supposed to be brown, white, green, black, or what ?
It looks like one of those high-density-low-ceiling blocks from the 60s. It makes me feel depressed just to look at the photograph. Do I need to say more ? ^^
0.5 (for the height).
superchan7 April 24th, 2005, 04:06 AM Elegant and unique, but overall ugly. I gotta give this one below 3, sorry. :(
I've never seen "elegant" and "ugly" together before... :crazy2:
ignoramus April 24th, 2005, 04:13 AM The design is a disgrace to the otherwise immense height and the elegant name ''Sorrento''.
atkinson1 April 24th, 2005, 05:37 AM Sure looks high though.
EdZed April 24th, 2005, 06:17 AM 8.5/10
Not the most unique design. But I like the staircasing of the towers looks cool.
Smileyface May 25th, 2005, 10:12 PM Not the best looking building but when you stand beneath them and take in the sheer scale it's hard not to be impressed 8/10
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v173/Robdann/Hong%20Kong/PICT0018.jpg
Latoso May 27th, 2005, 02:50 AM 6/10 Yuck. Points for height though.
pwright1 May 27th, 2005, 10:43 AM I gave it a 4. When I first looked at them I thought they were old buildings, maybe from the 60's or 70's. To my surprise they're new. That made it even worse.
beta29 May 27th, 2005, 04:11 PM 5/10 the height is ok but the rest is not very beautiful for me!
Jules May 29th, 2005, 01:17 AM The buildings are nice, but there's too many of them. 7.
geminiguy7 June 8th, 2005, 03:41 AM 6.5 boring repetitive
SoboleuS June 8th, 2005, 02:27 PM Really nice and tall for a residentials! 8/10
Reflex June 10th, 2005, 03:27 AM 6.5/10.
DRAKKO June 10th, 2005, 03:58 AM 6/10
jpq21 June 11th, 2005, 08:30 AM looks like an average HK residential tower, except its twice as tall
8/10- for not trying
superchan7 June 11th, 2005, 09:48 PM What HK calls "imaginative design" usually involves a slightly creative crown on top of private developments. However, what people on the street usually see is the oppressively boring rows of identical windows and anonymous use of colour. People only see the tops of buildings from a distance...they need to be more creative in designing the facade itself.
Jose Luis June 11th, 2005, 10:04 PM i actually kinda like their design.
empersouf June 12th, 2005, 12:32 PM They look very tall, and they are impressive:eek:

CborG July 12th, 2005, 09:16 PM 7/10
EarlyBird July 14th, 2005, 06:38 PM They just end up looking like commieblocks when clustered like that. 5/10.
Henk July 15th, 2005, 12:37 AM They are high but no real beaty's. 7/10.
Accura4Matalan July 19th, 2005, 12:18 PM 4.5/10

I gave them a 5. I hate the repetitiveness of the whole thing but it's not that ugly. They've actually got quite a nice shape.
