On a typical day do you have to cross into other counties to run errands and to go out to eat?

I used to live in southern somerset county, NJ close to where it converges with Middlesex and Mercer County and constantly crossed through the three counties just to run errands.

Very rarely. Outside of traveling, the only time I ever leave Cook county is when buying cigarettes. But that's just once every couple of months.

Tarrant (Fort Worth) & Dallas on a daily basis. Ellis county once a week.

I go to school out-of-state, so I leave the county at least twice a week. I go to another county, either in Delaware or in another state, maybe once or twice a month.

I never have to leave Wayne County. All my immediate family members and my job are within this county. I do most of my shopping in my own city, though I sometimes go to the mall in the next city over. Occasionally, I'll go to Oakland (north), Washtenaw (west), or Monroe (south) counties, but that might be every few months. Besides those three, I hardly ever go to any other county with any regularity. I can't even remember the last time I was in Macomb County...;)

Almost on a daily basis. The Sacramento River is divided down the middle, separating Sacramento County from Yolo County. Every time I cross the river, it's going back and forth. That's excluding all the regular trips to the coast which put me through Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Kern, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Cruz Counties.

I live in Miami Dade County and go into Broward County multiple times a week mostly because of family and the occasional stop to eat or shop in Pembroke Pines or Sunrise. The area I live in (NW Miami Dade) is reffered to as the I-75 corridor because the interstate connects SW Broward and NW Dade, so I'm always 10 minutes from anywhere in the area.

Well, I'm not in Buffalo anymore at the moment, but when I did, I wouldn't leave Erie County for almost 2-3 months at a time.

While in Hawaii, going across county is expensive since Honolulu's the neighboring county are on different islands (usually 45 minute plane ride).

I have to drive through three counties to get to work; incidentally the trip is only 5 miles.

Hardly ever. I've been to the OC no more than 10 times in my life; my one time in Riverside was during a trip to Palm Springs. I only pass through San Bernardino and Ventura on my way to and from Las Vegas and the Bay Area. But even then, I rarely take the 101 when traveling to/from up north.

LA County is just too big for me to have any reason to leave.

Maybe once a week; it's 20+ minutes driving to leave east, north, or west.

^^I always find it so strange how GIGANTIC counties out west are...some as big as entire states.

Oh, I thought we were only talking about counties in our metro areas.

Well, I don't go to San Diego too often, though I have been there before. My trips to the Bay Area are usually family-related and Las Vegas is just an annual tradition.

I never really leave SD county unless I have to. If I ever cross into OC-LA metro its because I'm being forced to. And who wants to go to Imperial County? Farmers?

There are many days when I'm in 3 different states, including DC, each day, let alone counties. Sometimes 5 or so a day.

I don't get out of the county I live in (King County in Seattle, WA) much. King County covers around 1/3 of Seattle metro area and little too big for me to get out much. I also noticed that West Coast counties are really big compared to Midwest or East Coast. I wonder why...

At least twice a week I'll cross over to Orleans or Jefferson Parishes from St. Tammany Parish. My church is in Orleans Parish, and I'm still part of a bowling league in Jefferson Parish.

Unless I'm on a road trip or traveling, I rarely leave Harris County (Houston) but sometimes will go to Fort Bend County (suburb) to visit friends.

Live and work in one county, but friends and family live in mainly two other counties so maybe every other day I'm out of Milwaukee and in Ozaukee or Waukesha.

Every single day, because Brooklyn and Manhattan are in different counties.
