Youthful, articulate, camera friendly, well known to foreign governments and good at Tory bashing.

He would get my vote.

Actually, didn't Harriett Harman do a PMQ once or twice, when Gordon was away? She did quite well in the first one... made a decent pop at William Hague, IIRC.

He's just another blair clone right? but not as good. a bit like cameron - not an ugly old man basically.

He;s gonna shag hilary clinton though.

Pretty much. As much as I don't want the Tories in charge, I do think Cameron has just about that right balance of personality and leadership. He can relate to the people (or at least this is the impression we're given) and yet stand up and deliver when required.

As for Clegg, post election I still don't see what all the fuss was about. A man who grew so cocky in himself that I'm suprised they didn't have Stuart Hall commentating his whereabouts as his head got so big.

I'd rather have Ed as leader of Labour. A much better speaker, seems much less of a careerist and most of all, he's much better looking!

However, it should be Clegg as PM of a progressive alliance coalition!

I quite like David Milliband, but I don't think Harriet Harman is as bad as everyone makes out. Unfortunately she doesn't seem popular, nor does Ed Balls, so Milliband is certainly the favourite amongst those three.

No, no, no. Labour's had 13 years and failed. We need mixed-member proportional representation and a Lib Dem/Green majority coalition (we all know how awesome that'd be).

:puke:

We need a strong Tory government to get all you wispy bearded, muesli stained, sandle wearing dreamers back where you belong. ;)

Re: Harriet Harman I am gutted she wont be standing. As a second choice it has to be Balls. He would be a disaster. Milliband might be slightly better but he is lightweight personified. I really cant stand him - he looks like a total weirdo.

Nu Lab was Blair and now he is gone Labour will struggle to recapture what they had. Just like the Tories did after Thatcher.

It has to be Balls as leader for me now that Morley and Outwood have done the country the great disservice of returing him as their MP. The fact that he is still here and even in the running for the leadership suggests to me that the Labour party has not yet purged itself of the statist, authoritarian poison that runs through its veins.

Labour will be unelectable under Balls and his ilk. The sooner they realise that and marginalise or destroy that element of the party the better.

I fail to see what he's done special. He sits on a safe Labour seat in South Shields, and South Shields to be honest has gone down hill over recents years, it used to be the envy of North Shields and the South Tyneside council was the envy of those on North Tyneside.

He just seems to be another backbencher who gets shuffled into different jobs all of the time. I fail to see why he should be the leader of the Labour party and possible PM.

Ed Balls is smarmy and generally quite cuntish, having done nothing for his previous constituency of Normanton.

I'm saddened that he got elected for Morley & Outwood, however, I live in Morley, so maybe if he was elected leader of the Labour Party, we may see more investment here, such as a firmer approval of the supertram, or HSR to Leeds etc... :dunno: Does that happen?

I don't agree with your implication that Britain's foreign policy is part of some sort of conspiracy. it is borne out of the factual and realistic terrorist threat, and a North Atlantic alliance with anything America does, which comes more from insecurity about our status in the world more than anything else. Don't expect much to change under William Hague except more antipathy to Europe.

I don’t believe it’s a conspiracy but the Civil Servants (Spooks) do brief and advise the politicians on what decision to take.

If the evidence has been falsified by the Spooks to make the politicians make a decision (as it was) then it could be considered a conspiracy
