Hi all,

What do your think about Gilstead 2 that is about to launch? 34 Storeys, Near Newton MRT and quite nice design. psf estimated to be $1900 upwards. any comment?

interesting, developer is "Selangor Dredging", listed company in malaysia.....

dun think they even have any presence in sgp, maybe here to make a quick profits?

i went to Newton Food Centre for dinner with my family last Saturday and there were many agents standing there soliciting... i saw from the picture of the folder they were holding and it was for Gilstead 2

location is not bad..but I guess its a small development. Carparks are also above ground....

yup, I think its cheaper not to have underground carparks. Dunearn Suites also no underground carpark and may not have enough carparks although each unit is allocated with 1 lot. it's selling for about $1900psf. the selling point is its just opposite Coronation Plaza and close to good schools but studio is 4XXsq ft, which family with school-going kid will fit into it?

all 2bedders...zzz....OUE upcoming project also 1/2bedders(1bedder cost ard 1.5mil)....

2bedder 775sqft shd cost ard 1.6mil....let say rental 4k which gives 3%

well, spending a 1.x million to buy a dream house or an investment home, i think it is important to know who is building that dream for you.

and paying 1.9kpsf and finding out the developer is a newbie in town, i think i have reservation, with this amount of money to spend, i think newton areas got many other bigger and better developments to look at, like Park Infinia, as an example.

not sure about this msia developer...but i always see buildings build halfway and abandoned when i drive ard msia.

scary...20% of 1.6mil is alot of $....build halfway declare insolvent how...lol

Such things had previously happened in Singapore too, what is new? People have just forgotten such risks about buying properties that are still under development! :ohno:

not sure about this msia developer...but i always see buildings build halfway and abandoned when i drive ard msia.

scary...20% of 1.6mil is alot of $....build halfway declare insolvent how...lol
