Hi Yosef. I think you and I talked about in the past and we also exchanged PM on it. I guess I am waiting for your reply. Also I think its better to discuss it here. We need this to be sub-forums under photography so all cities threads in say Amara go in that sub-forum. Kind of like Egypt are doing. We can also introduce the different regional (killil) names to visitors.

If you tell me that this can be made to be sub-forums, I can prepare all the names for you. (remember we live and die by ideas no matter how small)
===========

Photography (don't need to say "general")

General photography - Ethiopia (ኢትዮጵያ) (e.g daily life pics, landscape,
wild life, Ethiopian women, etc...)

photography - Addis Ababa (አዲስ አበባ)
photography - Amara (አማራ) e.g Bahir Dar, Dessie
photography- Oromia (ኦሮምያ) e.g Nazret, Debre Zeiet

photography- southern peoples and nations (ደቡብ ብሔር ብሔረሰቦች)
e.g awassa, Dilla

photography- Tigrai (ትግራይ) e.g Mekelee
photography- Afar (አፋር)
photography- (ጋምቤላ)

etc... continue with all regions biggest on top smallest at the bottom. These are all have to be sticky. Addis gets its own. You can mix Afar, Gambella, Benshagul and other regions with no significant urban development in them.

Projects, developments and Constructions. (use plural on all)

Economic and social issues. (don't need to say "development" its confusing)

Bunna Bet. (Bunna is double "n")
news, politics, jokes, Ahadu's photo shop changes, (need to indicate this at the bottom of the subject)

Forum improvement and activity ideas

Notice I changed the order of the main subjects. Photography first, since it the main objective of this webstie, then goes down in importance. Bunna bet, last.
Let me know.

Minor detail but I thought Oromia was "biggest"....

Good points.
Photography needs to be on top and Buna Bet last, after all its Skyscrapercity not a political forum of some sort.

Let me go ahead and fill everyone in.....

So me and Lamrof have been discussing this idea for an overhaul of the photography section through p.m.'s and I think the idea is a good one, it will help us organize the pictures of the varied regions of the country.

Basically what is to be done is that the Main section of photography will be broken up into separate sections as listed in Lamrofs post. The details are something we can work on if anyone feels there is something to be changed, but Lamrof's first post seems reasonable to me (just my opinion of course).

Input is welcome on how it looks, the naming, the format.....whatever you guys feel should be added/subtracted/edited here.

What has been proposed in the opening post seems good, so if we all agree on that we can move on.

I guess the final step, after deciding, will be to present the idea to the admin. so that it can be done for us.

So how does everyone feel about that? ...Good or No?
