Cairo International Airport Terminal 3 just started operations in April 2009. It serves for all EgyptAir flights, as well as EgyptAir's fellow Star Alliance members. (Swiss, Singapore, Lufthansa, Austrian, BMI). Its a Star Alliance hub for Africa. it double Cairo Airports capacity from 11 million passenger per year, to 22 million.

It is literally equipped with the most state-of-the-art Airport technology in Bagagge Handling, Biometric Immigration, Self Check-in kiosks, and everything there is so high tech.

In terms of restaurants available:

Upper Crust, Caffè Ritazza, Häagen-Dazs Cafe, Gino’s Pizza and Pasta, The Pie, To Go, Salad Buffet, Burger King, and Hippo Bar and Grill as well as an Asian corner, a juice bar, an oriental concept and a mobile Caffè Ritazza.
There is also a second Burger King and a coffee concept in another part of the terminal. Cairo Terminal 1, has McDonalds, Starbucks and Cinnabon.

Even in the parking lot enterance, they have an electronic sign, which detects how many cars are parked using sensors, and when its full, the electronic sign changes to "Full" and when its not it changes to "Space Available" !!

Actually I enjoy reading up on new real estate projects, and have been visiting this sight for a few years now, but i never really felt compelled to post anything before that little gem of yours. I didn't realize there was a minimum required amount of posts. Good to know.

Hope to pay a visit to Cairo Airport T3 soon, but if am flying to Egypt I wont use Egyptair for sure ( fares are crazy expensive if flying out from KUL- Ill use EK, EY or QR ) , but am not sure if am allowed to enter the terminal.

FYI my Egypt trip ( supposed to be on November ) is now postponed
