I know,

Somali is always surprising.

IMHO, Only Mogadishu is hell. whilst most of the country is ok. Sahll peace return, it would be easier to rebuild Somali and wil take shorter time .

But when the Western media talk or show Somali, you'll think of hell. Which is indeed the case for most countries.

Isn't Daynile part of Muqdisho? Is it a city by itself?

Somalia is a country with a great particular beauty, but because of this stupid on-going civil war, the damages are too big. Hope one day this country will use its potential and be a regional power.

Daynile's located outside of mog. more like a saburb.

I think the infrastructure can be fixed relatively quickly, it is the human costs (social, mental, and educational) that will take a while to fix.

Nice pics btw. I wonder how old they are and who is in charge. I've never heard of this city before (Im a northerner). I love how lush and green it is.

Daynile is about 10km from mog. if you look at the third picture, you will see mog from the background.

the pictures are about 7 or 8 months old, but the project is incomplete.

if your intersted go to flicrc and search for "tropical village gardens somalia".
tons of pic are there.

the man in pic is charge. he invests alot including water production, dairy manufucturing, farming etc.

Oh okay thanks for the info. Seems interesting, I hope for the best in that tough environment.

The article is good news too, business leaders can't wait forever.
