yes, the difference is there are only 2 towers (28F, 48F) sharing the same podium with a facade same as those shown in the render , while the 3rd tower will be occupied by Ascott hotel with different design.

i thought it was interesting to note how the diagonal stripes on the parapet were being installed before the glass curtain wall pieces, which led me to scrutinize the render once again. turns out there won't be glass curtain for the parapet after all, only the "brise-soleil" diagonal stripes. it still looks nice though!:cheers:

^^ Phase 3 is the Hotel but unlike the above render, the Ascott Hotel tower looks different from the original 3 tower render presented. I sincerely hope they are still able to blend in the Ascott Hotel with that of the original look of the Net Lima and Net Park so that they can atleast still come close to like that of the original render which I think is really beautiful. I really like how in the original render those three structures are similarly finished and look like they are all sharing one massive podium. Over all impact looks so modern and cutting edge that it can easily become a BGC landmark. Hopefully they'll still be able to make it work architecturally speaking in keeping with the spirit of the original render. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how things will turn out.

I have made the comment before that you will notice that the taller structures are around the perimeter of BGC and they acually get shorter as you come into the centre. This makes sence otherwise you block everything out. :)

Yes and also The Suites. When I refered to the centre I mean from 5th to 11th Ave and 26th to 32nd Street, I think this can be refered to as the centre. I know there will be High Street South but I am unsure how tall they will be but if they are less than 30 floors it should be ok. I am sure the Master Planners had this in mind. Just an obervation and not backed up by anything.

Still kinda having a hard time imagining how the Ascott tower will be integrated with the other two Net structures without looking like it was tacked on when they decided to change the design/architecture of this tower from the original design envisioned by the architect. Hopefully the Ascott project will still end up blending well with the other two structures in Net Metropolis (instead of looking tacked on) when it finally comes to fruition.

They have operations in Makati. They rent their building to commercial tenants. But their HQ is now in BGC.

^^ Nope. Don't think so. Net Grp was not selling Net Lima as far as I know. Besides don't necessarily need to buy nor lease the whole building to get the company's name/logo outside the said building. It's all part of the lease negotiation between Philam Life and Net Grp. Philam Life negotiated hard for it in all likelihood as a condition for sealing the deal so to speak and Net Grp agreed to it given that Philam Life is probably Net Lima building's anchor/majority tenant.

No. They bought 5 floors, AFAIK. Placing a logo outside a building doesn't mean you own one. Philamlife employees use the first entrance for elevators coming from 5th Ave. These elevators serve, 2F-7F; 9F-19F. With this, you can guess which floors Philamlife bought. 2F-7F are parking floors.

^Unless we see the actual agreement, we won't know the exact set up. but just because Philam's name is on the building doesn't mean they own it, or own a part of it. Naming rights can be had too for an agreed amount. depends really on how the negotiations went.

^^ Skyscraper2012, Actually medyo nabago siya from that original render. NetMetropolis is the whole block consisting of 3 structures namely: Net Lima, Net Park, and of course the Ascott Hotel which doesn't look like the third tower in that render above (see Ascott render below). Sayang talaga that they didn't follow the original render which is really stunning!

I'm so sorry. I stand corrected. Philam Life is only renting 4 floors of Net Lima plus some spaces in MOA area. They are now scouting a place in BGC to build a tower of their own.
